Some wonderful teachers, some unkind and hurtful, unkind administrator that spreads rumors and says hurtful things, doesn’t back up staff members.

After looking at Omaha, Bennington and Elkhorn schools, as well as many private schools. I can say with confidence, Aldrich Elementary blows them all out of the water. I have been so impressed by the strides my children have made in just the last year. Aldrich Elementary is a phenomenal school and I cannot recommend them enough.

It may have changed now, but both my kids had, except for a few exceptions, poor teachers. My kids loved school as soon as they graduated and started at Kiewit.

Both of my children go to this school and both needed help with reading and writing. Harvey oaks has a reading and writing literacy program that has helped them both immensely! So much so one of ours kids have "graduated" from the program. Our eldest was in a small town school for most of kindergarten and when we moved to omaha, finishing out his kindergarten year at harvey oaks, they immediately took him into the program. All the teachers we've encountered since then have been amazing. They care not only about education but safety of all the children. I went to kiewit and millard north for middle and high school and was impressed with both schools and harvey oaks just continues to show me how amazing millard schools are.

My daughter attends Abbott and I have nothing but praise for the staff of Grace Abbott. There are many excellent opportunities for students to be involved in activities - from choir, book club, spanish club, to stock market club. SWAMP time is a great community building activity that focuses on good traits to build strong citizens. Dr. Chaussee has great communication with parents and does what is fair and best for the students. He works hard to know the children and I see him working in the lunch room at recess when I have volunteered. I don't believe it's very common for other administrators to do these jobs. There is a new volunteer program just for dads called Watch dogs that my husband enjoyed doing and my daughter loved having dad in school for a change. The teachers are interested in and care about my child. I appreciate how they send great emails to help remind us of the activities going on in school. I'm so thrilled about the choosing Grace Abbott for my child's education.

This administration at the school (front office) is poorly ran. This woman is not a natural born leader. She barks orders, instead of leads. The principal is a nightmare to work for as she is doesn't understand a community of teachers and grace when it comes to her employees. As far as how she handles students, I've seen 1st hand the unknowing, blatant, unaware racism she isn't aware she shows to specific students. This woman is data driven crazy woman who looks at students and staff as just numbers and never gets to really know her staff. However, Millard will not do anything because this woman is on her way out anyway (thank the lord). Be wary when sending your kid or applying to this school.
