Both of my children go to this school and both needed help with reading and writing. Harvey oaks has a reading and writing literacy program that has helped them both immensely! So much so one of ours kids have "graduated" from the program. Our eldest was in a small town school for most of kindergart

I love Harvey Oaks Elementary simply because they have the most wonderful teachers and facility that run this school. It is a public school that feels more like a private school. The teachers that I have been in contact with should be role models and mentors to every teacher in the Omaha area. They

I can say with confidence, Aldrich Elementary blows them all out of the water. I have been so impressed by the strides my children have made in just the last year. 5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageUnfortunately growing up without a father made me resent the days where students dads could come and spend the whole day at the school, and unfortunately as a child with mental health problems, being punished for them instead of being heard made this elementary school difficult to go through. I was a new student when I was 9, and left the school at 11. I was young for my grade and definitely needed some extra help. UNFORTUNATELY having a mean and disrespectful principal did not help any of that . Students began learning the violin in second grade, band is offered in 5th grade and chorus. The PTA is very engaged and create fun family events creating a sense of community at Catlin.
