I have two kids at Edison , 4th and 1st grades, I have been pleased by the teachers ,they have been kind and professional, my kids are very polite and sensitive and they wouldn't be happy if the teacher is mean or strict. We had some issues with kids bullying and inappropriate behaviors but the teachers we so proactive , they took our concerns immediately and took care of it in a professional way. Looking forward for next year at Edison.

the bullying is extremely bad and teachers dont pay attention

So far I have sent my three oldest kids to Perkett. They have flourished and I am very impressed with the teachers and the education my children have been receiving. Perkett is top notch! Sending my baby there next year and will have four kids at Perkett for one year. Go Panthers!

My boys attended Washington for kinder and 5th grade. I thought this school was wonderful. The staff was kind and welcoming. I was encouraged to volunteer and helped out a lot in my son's kindergarten room. Mrs. Wedar is phenomenal! BEST TEACHER EVER! My son had an amazing start to his first year of school!! Their CLC program is great, and my boys enjoyed going there before and after school. We moved out of state, but we would still be at Washington if we lived in Minot. The school is over crowded and could use an addition, but I know that isn't something Washington can help as money comes from district and state level. If you have an opportunity to send your kid there, do not hesitate!

Academically, it’s solid. The classes can be challenging, and there are some teachers who genuinely care and put in effort. Those teachers make a big difference.That said, there are things that are hard to overlook. The overall culture leans very strongly in one direction, especially on certain social topics, and it’s not subtle. It comes up enough that it can make some students uncomfortable.The condition of the building is mixed. Some areas are clearly maintained well, while others feel neglected. Not every classroom is comfortable, especially when it gets warm, and a lot of the textbooks are worn out and have clearly been used for years.Food is another weak point. The staff is kind, but the quality of the food isn’t great.Sports are something to really think about before enrolling. It doesn’t always feel like decisions are based purely on effort or ability. Being a private school, money plays a role in how things operate, and that can carry over into athletics. If your family isn’t contributing beyond tuition, it can feel like you’re at a disadvantage when it comes to playing time and opportunities. There are some strong teachers and decent academics, but there are also enough issues that it won’t be the right fit for everyone.
