Posted by a student on 1/16/2024Horrible school! No communication with parents. Last minute updating grades they are just passing my son along threw the system. My son is an asd student. He doesn't get the support. No one reaches out to me. I have to contact them. I was told he was having issues in a class last week. I contacted the teacher never was contacted by any teachers unless I contacted them 1st. My child is just being passed along and it is horrible!
Posted by a parent on 5/18/2023I graduated from this Middle School, I'm in High School now. I'll be honest, in sixth grade, it was fun. Seventh grade, it was okay, still fun. Eighth grade was AMAZING! You have the best teachers, too bad Ms. Stelfox left, that school needed her. But the teachers are cool, they are willing to be more than a teacher, to be your best friend and talk to you whenever you need them, they will push you to do your best and honestly I want to cry because I miss and love them so much. I doubt he'll read this, but, Mr. Clontz, I want you to know you were the best teacher that's ever taught me, and you really inspired me and showed me that teachers like you really exist because you're that 1% of teachers, that actually love to teach, and are really good at teaching. The same goes for Ms. Bailey, and definitely Ms. Stelfox. The nurse was amazing too, I love you girl ;D If you're a good student and willing to be good to the teachers, they will show you a world you won't believe is possible, they will make you want to wake up in the morning just to be in there class. They will make you want to learn, because they make learning fun. They will help and push you to accelerate in your life and help you develop your future, do your best here and you will get rewarded with something great. From the teachers, you'll get and education, a whole new world, and most importantly; a friend. AND I KNOW IM UR FAVORITE STUDENT MR CLONTZ! Sincerely, Brianna McCoy.
Posted by a community member on 6/5/2017The support at this school is incredible! Teachers plan, work and conference as a team. They care about the whole child - Education + Character. They use many on-line resources to present, evaluate, and track your childs progress in each and every skill in which parents have access. There are many other opportunities for us as parents to learn about, follow and assist with our child's success beginning with PTSA / Curriculum Nights, Conferences, Principal Coffees, and other extra curricular activities. Teachers and staff are professional, informative, and inviting. They are eager for you to be part of your child's educational team. Open, honest, and respectful dialogue is incouraged. Thoughts and opinions are respected and considered.
Posted by a parent on 1/29/2016I have been a student all three years. I have enjoyed my friends and teachers. The teachers are always helpful and encouraging. Yea there are some fights but that's at every school you go too. But anybody can excel at this school as long as they focus the staff is always there to help and are always proud to see you excel in whatever you do. Don't let the bad reviews effect how you feel. Let you child try they're first year and see if it's a good experience

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis used to be a good school but not anymore. The staff no longer are inviting and excited to be there. The upper authority has made it difficult for anyone to teach there. Complaints have gone unanswered by HR and the school board. Test results are awful. The children are not engaged and eager to learn. Huge teacher turnover should tell you something.Parent Review7mo ago - Hickory Grove Christian School
