Read what parents are saying about Havel Elementary SchoolI just struggle to understand the system, since when it s ok for your child to be beat and traumatized? If you complain about the situation your only option is to move your child from the school and the bully has no repercussion! Since when this become a normal approach?
Posted by a parent on 12/13/2021This is a great school and my kids love it, everyone is so nice!
Posted by a parent on 10/16/2018I would not recommend any parent send their kid to this school.
Posted by a parent on 7/18/2018Havel Elementary is the only school after preschool that my daughter has attended and her kindergarten school year was tough because the teacher was just really demanding and over bearing but this year she has Mrs. Dolenga and she is doing GREAT!! This teacher is really making a difference in her. The school is really helpful and on top of things. If I didn't have to move I would keep her there. :(
Posted by a parent on 10/10/2013im sorry to say this but havel has really gone downhill inthe last two years. i had 1 child go through k-6 and it was wonderfull. now my 2nd child is in the 6 grade, and i can not wait for him to be out. the last two years have been awefull. some of the old staff is still there and they are not thrilled either. its to bad that this wonderfull school is now a joke. some of the new teachers are just plain rude. i feel they are there for a paycheck and thats about it. i feel the same way about the principal.they just donot care and it shows!!!

Everyone is welcoming and understanding to each students individual situation. Great communication between parents and staff.Parent Review4y ago - Schwarzkoff Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is a joke. Some teachers are great, while others bully their students. Students with an IEP are not having their needs met. The lack of communication between staff and parents is something that could be worked on. They are always short staffed and always having busing issues (my child was late to school every single day last year as well as getting home). It was never communicated from transportation or the school that they were late, everyday! I just watched my students grades drop over the year and their self esteem because they'd get picked on for being tardy by 15 minutes *almost every morning! There are very few teachers at this school that are the exception. This school has had 3 principals in 4 years, if that says anything. It all went downhill after they made the decision to get rid of the principal Mrs Pritchard after a transportation issue that was more so the superintendents fault than anything. Staff will lie about your students IEP needs being met when they're not providing the services they're required to by law. We withdrew last year. So happy we made that decision and wished we would've sooner.Parent Review1y ago - Plumbrook Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFor the teaching is good not to bad but for the self emotion I don’t they care so much and they don’t punish the kids who bully my son at all and they don’t care about this thing beside that for the safety I would give them zero point because I dropped my son at the front office so he could go faster to the class he has only 2 minutes left but who ever was in the from told him you still can walk to your class and she let him go but as soon as he walked to there the class was close and she didn’t let him in and I wasn’t with him they left my son outside alone and my friend called to tell me my son is outside I had to come back for him and when I was telling the front office about what happened they didn’t gave me any attention and they were so rude they are not professional at all they have a bad behaviour and attitude and they are not responsible at allOther Review10mo ago - Browning Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI'm an old student of browning, that school is full of bullies, they are disrespectful in so many ways, and the current principal takes all the boys' sides. the teachers are amazing, and I have good memories of the school, but most of my memories there are horrible, if I had a choice to go back to that school id save myself the trauma and hate I received, I don't advice you go there, and when I grow up if I have kids, I don't plan to continue the tradition of them going to Browning. I'll send them to a better school, and over all I don't believe browning deserves to be one of the top three schools in Michigan. the education system is whack.Other Review9mo ago
