Posted by a student on 2/6/2018Valley Lutheran is the top school in the Saginaw area, and I don't really think it is close. It has very strong academics that prepare students for some of the top schools in the country. VLHS has the best athletic facilities around as well. Strong head coaches have helped lead an athletic resurgence for the Chargers in the last decade. If you are even thinking of sending your son or daughter to Valley I strongly encourage you to do it. I have seen so many families regret not sending their students. Please, don't make that mistake yourself.
Posted by a student on 7/15/2013I'm currently a senior at Valley Lutheran, and I love it! the teachers are great, the student body is great. Valley is a great high school! I've enjoyed my 4 years here. Valley has given me opportunities that I could not have experienced at any other high school. I've gotten to play sports, be in plays, and even the band.No one teases you for being in band. Every part of Valley is great. There is one thing I hate about Valley. Valley doesn't have air conditioning. No matter who you are, there's a teacher at Valley who will understand and help you through anything.
Posted by a student on 5/30/2013I would highly recommend this school. The school really challenges the students. All I can say is that when I went to college it was easy compared to going to Valley. I was well prepared by Valley's education system. You must go here if you plan to attend college!!

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMrs Morgan is a great kindergarten teacher. The PTO offers several opportunities to get involved. In general the staff and teachers seem to care about the students. My kiddo learned a lot in kindergarten. The classroom configurationIs a little weird (most classrooms don't have interior doors), but it seems to work ok. In general I like this school. N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIn the beginning it wasn't bad. Over the course of the year there were some changes that we weren't exactly thrilled about. After the 2nd year there, bullying was a very big issue that was not dealt with. We opted for a private school to avoid these problems, only to deal with them more so than we had when our kids were in public school. Staff refused to handle the situation, even the teacher was disappointed in the principals lack of concern and correction.
