Posted by a parent on 11/8/2024I have 2 of my 3 kids attend Hoover. Great teachers and music program. I love the diversity of the school and the after school programs.
Posted by a community member on 12/10/2015Always a pleasant experience. The teachers are extremely helpful and patient with the students. My daughter wouldnt be where she was today if it wasnt for them.

My daughter is in kindergarten and within the first month she gets LICE from her class , something my entire family have NEVER had our whole lives! It has not only disrupted our lives but my career has been put into jeopardy! Now the class has a case of FOOT and MOUTH!!!!! I’m disgusted !!! My family have never had to deal with such diseases!!! My daughter can not worrry about getting life threatening diseases and lice everyday of school! Then at home we are left dealing with it and I cannot work! The people working here are extremely RUDE and I find the school very unsafe/ bullies galore from the middle school down the block yelling at parents ! I had to contact the police when I was just picking up my 5 yr old! I will not put up with this!! The teachers don’t tell you anything and let’s just say it’s a very POOR school all around! I’ve never had to deal with any of these problems in my 32 yrs with an elementary school. Disgusting! 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur first year at the school was wonderful. Then my child was diagnosed with a disability. The principal and teachers fought with me about providing adequate help. My child was assigned less work instead of getting assistance. My child's scores went way down.
