This use to be a fantastic school with the former principal Greg Socha. So much has changed and not for the better. Many staff members have left, parents and former employees removing their students from the school. Ask how many parents are on the PTO. Filthy, unsafe environment.

The teachers, students, staff, and administration work really hard to create experiental learning opportunities and demonstrate student engagement, as evidenced by the multicultural festival in the fall, literacy Night in the winter, and the multicultural picnic

Every school has its shared of problems, however, the principal is approachable and willing to work with parents to resolve an issue. I am comfortable with that students are safe in such a caring environment.

The staff is diverse and amazing at what they do. They support all learners and want what is best for all students. This school holds events that I have never seen another school do. The

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIndian Prairie Elementary is such a warm and welcoming school! The teachers truly care about each child’s success, and the principal knows students by name, which makes it feel like a close-knit family. Every staff member we’ve met has been so kind and supportive. The surrounding neighborhood is safe, friendly, and a wonderful place for kids to grow. My only wish is that the school went up to 5th grade instead of stopping at 3rd. The speech therapy program here has been wonderful and has really helped my child improve his speech. It would be great if there could be a little more time dedicated to it, as it would build on the already excellent support the school provides. 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe are in our 3rd year with the school. The principal has grown so much and has become an excellent communicator. The teachers are fantastic. My child is supported and challenged in the classroom. I love that my child is receiving a great academic education and an even better social education being that her school is so diverse. We receive bi-weekly, free piano lessons, music lessons on top of that, as well as art and dance. Bathroom situation is terrible with no gendered bathrooms and no working locks. When you make any complaint or raise questions about what they are doing, you will be made it the black sheep because your views aren’t the same as theirs.
