Read what parents are saying about Star International Academyworst experience ever i am a teacher
Posted by a teacher on 5/2/2023This school is one of the WORST schools I have sent my child to. I really recommend not sending your child here. My daughter comes back everyday from school crying that she gets bullied and the teachers wont do anything about it. I have tried talking to the principal about this situation but he says i'm lying and he has to trust the teachers over me. And when i come for conferences the teachers give me an attitude. And one time my daughter came home sick and threw up at school because the school lunch had been expired. Please do not ever go to this school everyone is extremely rude there.
Posted by a parent on 6/2/2022Disappointing. I was expecting so much more from the "award winning" school.
Posted by a teacher on 6/26/2019This school really needs to be more attentive to middle and high school. All the good teachers went because of how they saw this school was. Now, there are only newbie teachers that don't even care to teach, they only do it for the money. Teachers make a big influence on students. If the teacher doesn't care, why should the students? That's how Star has become. I wish there would be more love and care in this school but it doesn't deserve it. This school does not prepare you for college whatsoever. Do not come to middle and high school, it is the worst experience you can possibly get. Parents only like this school because it teaches Arabic. There are American schools that can teach way better.
Posted by a student on 12/7/2018A great school, professional staff, but unfortunately teaching Arabic is not the level of ambition(I do not notice any progress for my children in Arabic)

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSince the new principal everything at Haigh has gone bad. No parent communication, does not respong to emails. You do not feel welcomed when entering in the office. I had some concerns with my daughter so I emailed the principal, no response! My daughter comes home almost every day complaining that she doesn't learn anything and the teachers don't listen to them. They just don't care!Parent Review7mo ago - Howard Elementary School

The staff is amazing! We have the best teachers, so caring and so nurturing especially during these uncertain times. They have made online learning as stress free and as manageable as possible. The office staff is extremely helpful and very friendly. We are very happy to be a part of the wonderful Howard community.Parent Review3y ago - Howe Trainable Center And Montessori

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe thing is, this place is great, but it's not like the #1 place. Place is connected to church, way better than my old one, but they're currently trying to make a play, and forcing me to sing a solo I don't want to do. Overall, not that bad.Student Review4mo ago - Det World Outreach Christian Academy

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have been sending our children to St. Linus since our first of three was in preschool. The teachers have all been very good especially for preschool and kindergarten. The environment is one of academic excellence, development of virtues and moral values and spiritual growth and development. I was not thrilled with one of the former principals. She let politics be involved in certain decisions and conflict resolution. She forced our sun to apologize to another student when my son did nothing wrong. Good riddance to that principal.St. Linus outperforms other schools in the area on standardized testing and gets higher marks than most schools in Michigan. Your children actually learn as opposed to being indoctrinated. Teachers keep parents updated on their child's development and learning. And are especially helpful if your child is under performing or struggling in a particular area.We have always been welcome and felt welcomed at school events. I'm not the most outgoing guy. Many parents (including my wife) and teachers make it their goal to get to know everyone at these functions.Tuition rates are reasonable and there are multi-child discounts.St. Linus is a great school.Parent Review4mo ago
