Read what parents are saying about Twinbrook Elementary SchoolOur child is in kindergarten and has had great experience so far. He really likes his teachers and looks forward to going to school every day. He also enjoys the aftercare and the after school clubs. All interactions with the staff have been really pleasant.
Posted by a parent on 2/9/20242 kids, 1 has been there for 3 years now and the other is in his first year. I think the school is great. They teach my kids well.
Posted by a parent on 4/15/2019My 2 children have had a great experience here. The teachers they have had have been excellent and care about there students. The class sizes being smaller are a real benefit too.
Posted by a parent on 7/17/2017Excellent kindergarten! Wonderful teachers who care about the children's success.
Posted by a parent on 3/19/2017I was very hesitant about sending my daughter to Twinbrook and actually started her in a language immersion program first. That didn't work out for her and we transferred halfway through the school year in 2015-2016. It has made a world of difference. She receives special education services and I can't say enough good things about the special education staff at Twinbrook. You can also tell the teachers honestly care about their students. I was very pleasantly surprised by Twinbrook.

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school teachers use an app called ClassDoJo in order to communicate with parents. The MH PTA is very strong and supportive. Bus drivers are always on time, and breakfast is for free no matter the income. Lunch is $2.55 with no Gov support etc., which is very inexpensive, teacher/student ratio is very low as well. No complaints on my end.Parent Review4mo ago - Rock Creek Valley Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBoth my sons went to RCV and did great. Wonderful neighborhood school where kids and parents walk to everyday. These generalized reviews are idiotic, apparently there is some aspect of wholeness that is not up to par. Pfft.. Oh, both boys graduated from UMD and I think there great start is because of RCVParent Review1y ago - Charles E Smith Jewish Day School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI wish I could say great things about the school. It looks very good on paper. They say all the right things. But they are not a partner to the parents. They are not a support to the students. I’m in the process of removing my child from the school. From an educational perspective, I’ve got no complaints. But having a child that struggles with mental health and anxiety, the school has totally totally failed us. I’m not sure what our other options are, but I’m not going to keep spending $40,000 a year For a school that is totally unhelpful to my child who is struggling. That said there are many positives, and if you have a child who is not struggling with stress and anxiety, then I wish you the best. If you have a child who struggles, then I cannot recommend the school for you. They’ve only cause my own child additional stress and mental pain. And what I’ve gone into ask for help, it’s fallen on deaf ears and I’ve been dismissed without any consideration of my feedback and recommendations.Parent Review1y ago - Executive Child Development Center

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have had a wonderful experience at this school. Mrs. Reed in the 2-3 room is fantastic and really cares for the children. Our son absolutely loves her. He's also learned a lot-- he already learned his ABCs at 3, which we weren't expecting. The PM care staff are also kind and very helpful. This story pretty much sums it up: my son was playing "school" at home with me. He pretended to be the teacher and wanted me to be the student. He then gave me a big hug and told me he loved me, because that's what teachers do. :)Parent Review5y ago - Berman Hebrew Academy

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHaving been through lower and middle school I can say without a doubt how grateful I am that my child attended GAS. Everyone hears about the horrors middle school in general and here, it’s the exact opposite. The school allows kids to be kids without the pressure of having older ones around. They become leaders and self-advocates and have solid social circles. And the academics are deceivingly tough. Most students found that after leaving for high school they are placed in advanced classes and seem much more prepared than their peers. I know some parents are so concerned about whether their child will get into their high school of choice, but I promise that if you trust the process, you will reap the benefits. So happy to have been part of the Green Acres community. It’s a fabulous school.Parent Review1mo ago - St Elizabeth Catholic School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSt. Elizabeth has been an incredible experience for my 4-year-old over the past year. We are absolutely delighted with this school! It's evident that she's made remarkable progress in various aspects, including her speaking skills, manners, and independence. We can't stop praising the positive impact PreK 3 has had on her development, and we eagerly anticipate her journey into JK next September.Parent Review9mo ago
