Posted by a parent on 9/18/2017We are a 2013 National Blue Ribbon school. We have a very diverse student populat ion and rigorously challenge our students to meet high expectations. Teachers differentiate to meet various student needs. We collaborate with our community and stakeholders to continue to be an excellent school.

Charlesmont Elementary school is an example of what all good schools should be. Students come first at Charlesmont. We have a diverse population. Each child's needs and strengths are paramount from our most capable students to our special needs students. I have taught a self-contained class of special needs students at Charlesmont for over 20 years. My students are included in achool wide activities, their needs are considered during annual planning, but best of all, they are simply part of our school. Always supported by staff, students and administration. I am very proud to be working at Charlesmont. A school where each child counts!

1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was reading past reviews of this school and they were mostly based on the old school building which was demolished and a new one was just built a few years ago along with newer younger staff. My son is special needs and he loves this school, always happy and excited to go and see his friends and teachers. The new Dundalk Elementary is gorgeous, all high tech and very clean. My son has been progressing a great deal thanks to its great teachers and counselors who care deeply about his education and well being. The reviews of this school should be revised because they do not reflect the actual progress.Parent Review1y ago - Grange Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageNorwood Elementary is a hidden gem. The teachers and staff are excellent and dedicated to the students. Principal Mark Taylor and assistant principal Michael Ruppenkamp are doing a great job. My apprehension about the Dundalk area is eradicated due to this outstanding school. My child has completed kindergarten and first grade, and is currently in second grade, and has experienced excellent teachers who are committed to their profession. There are many after school events. Communication with teachers and administration can be done by email and phone, and responses are rapid and respectful. It is 2024 and we are impressed with the exceptional high quality of Norwood in all areas. Norwood Elementary school should be rated a 10 out of 10.Parent Review2mo ago - Sandalwood Elementary School
