4 kids in & out of MCA. Hub’s graduated from there in 95. Some past years have been a real doozy with Administration, board & dress code. We actually, wrote the school off at one pount! Academic standards are very high, so students have to work hard and be extra studious, but it pays at the end - MCA graduates are well ahead of peers in college readiness. I tried to bring my concerns up to the principal and she brushed it off. I got a call from DCF the day after I reported everything to the district. Not really a coincidence. 7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe staff and leaders at this school and in this district were not people we wanted influencing the development of our children. We left the district after numerous examples of incompetence, poor and even disrespectful communication, and a general posture of defiance in response to our genuine concerns. The principal is inexperienced, which seems to be the source of so many missteps. We know from other families there’s a growing discontent with the leadership and a hope that the principal’s tenure is short. Perhaps the school has a chance to recover or redirect with new leadership.
