Posted by a parent on 8/3/2020I had 2 kids graduate from Hatch Elementary. Both did excellently at Brooks Middle School & OPRF High School.. The oldest is now in college and was very well prepared. I cannot say enough about the education that my children have received in Oak Park, IL.

BTW, the Illinois State Board of Education just released their annual School Report Card, and achieved "Exemplary" status. Exemplary status, is granted to schools that are performing in the top 1

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am writing to express concerns regarding my recent interactions with the front office staff, specifically the head secretary, Deborah Odeneal. During multiple attempts to request assistance by phone, I experienced being placed on hold and subsequently disconnected. Additionally, when I inquired about obtaining ACCESS scores for a student, staff members indicated they were unfamiliar with this information.Furthermore, despite having written parental authorization, I was unable to obtain the necessary records for a former student to facilitate enrollment at their new school. This has caused delays and complications in ensuring the student receives appropriate educational support.I believe it is important that office staff are knowledgeable, responsive, and cooperative when handling student records and transition requests, as these directly impact a child’s education.
