SO GOOD ABSOLUTE W SCHOOL. bro this school is so good it made my childhood 1000 times better because of the welcoming people.

Both of my children have graduated from this school and I will miss it very much. Wonderful sense of community. The general music teacher is exceptionally strong and runs a steel band program that is one in a million. My children both enjoyed their years at Hatch and flourished. The oldest has been successful in middle school, the youngest is poised and ready. They both formed many excellent friendships that endure.

I am writing to express concerns regarding my recent interactions with the front office staff, specifically the head secretary, Deborah Odeneal. During multiple attempts to request assistance by phone, I experienced being placed on hold and subsequently disconnected. Additionally, when I inquired about obtaining ACCESS scores for a student, staff members indicated they were unfamiliar with this information.Furthermore, despite having written parental authorization, I was unable to obtain the necessary records for a former student to facilitate enrollment at their new school. This has caused delays and complications in ensuring the student receives appropriate educational support.I believe it is important that office staff are knowledgeable, responsive, and cooperative when handling student records and transition requests, as these directly impact a child’s education. I hope these concerns can be addressed promptly to prevent similar issues in the future.

My child attended Prieto and we really loved the teachers he had for Pre-K. The security guard is so great with the kids and sometimes plays football with them in the mornings. Teachers use ClassDojo to communicate with parents. Office staff is super friendly and communicative. We get many emails and voicemails from the school with awareness of everything going on.

My granddaughter attended this school from 3rd-8th grades. They taught her so much and had plenty of extra curricular activities as well. She felt safe and enjoy her educational experience.

My family should have left after the first red flag, but we hoped things would improve—they did not. Over time, it became clear that the teachers and administration are not adequately prepared to keep children safe or foster a genuine sense of community. I witnessed frequent yelling at students, concerning treatment of children of color, and a lack of understanding and support for students with special needs.My children often reported school days filled with movies, online videos, coloring sheets, word searches, and workbook activities, and I witnessed much of this myself while volunteering at the school. Very little hands-on or meaningful learning actually took place.The pastor provides little oversight or accountability for the administration, resulting in poor communication and inadequate care for families despite the school’s emphasis on Catholic values. While the school proudly displays its new blue ribbon, that recognition masks serious underlying issues. Don’t be misled by the appearance of success. The reality is far less impressive.Save your money and look for education outside the Archdiocese. If you ask around, you’ll find that these same problems are widespread. Families deserve far better than what this system is currently offering.
