Plenty of resources, great district, friendly teachers, and an environment that sees kids as our future, not just test takers. The learning environment is encouraging and lots of in-school activists. Good facilities. Fun access to lots of green space.
Posted by a community member on 9/16/2023Butler was/is a NIGHTMARES!!!!!!! The school chose not to see our child's SLD then denied him an evaluation. Even after having him evaluated by a clinical psychologist who was very specific on what our child needed. The school Psychologist is a joke. The school principal is a joke. It's very dishear

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt is a first year here for my family. This is the public school that is more like a private school. It does give a family feel appeal. The pros with the students from what I can see it holding them to accountability for their learning and workload. The workloads seem balanced and the teacher response is great. This is the first year for the Principal as a Principal. I would say the communication there could be better outside a newsletter. I love the fact the Superintendent makes it his business to know the kids, I hope he takes time to know the families as well. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWelcome to the new SJS! We love the new administration and teachers! They have been wonderful and my kids actually enjoy going to school. We have been very happy with the curriculum and the smaller class sizes allow for individual attention if needed. My children have enjoyed all the sports offered throughout the year (cross country, basketball, volleyball, and coed volleyball). There is a very active parents club, who provide fun activities throughout the year. We came to the school for the education, but the community of families adds to the reason we have stayed.
