This is a great school with supportive staff and great students.
Posted by a community member on 10/7/2025this school sucks. they need a special ed program and better teachers. there are so many bullies too ... my brother is in this school and i feel so so bad for him because he's bullied everyday and on top of that he's got teachers yelling at him left and right
Posted by a community member on 8/31/2023I am a former staff member and had a horrible experience at this school with no support, unsafe conditions, bullying from staff/admins, and pushed far beyond what was in the contract and what is safe/healthy for staff. It severely impacted my mental health. The district claims to be a trauma-informe
Posted by a community member on 10/22/2022The school and Most of the Staff definitely tries to provide a Good Education and a disciplined environment although there are factors that make it difficult. Such as Brand new teachers, Non-caring teachers, Uninvolved Parents, & Undisciplined students.

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt is a first year here for my family. This is the public school that is more like a private school. It does give a family feel appeal. The pros with the students from what I can see it holding them to accountability for their learning and workload. The workloads seem balanced and the teacher response is great. This is the first year for the Principal as a Principal. I would say the communication there could be better outside a newsletter. I love the fact the Superintendent makes it his business to know the kids, I hope he takes time to know the families as well. The teachers are effective at teaching the kids to be respectful, responsible, and God-centered. We had amazing leadership this past year so that the students could return to school. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWelcome to the new SJS! We love the new administration and teachers! They have been wonderful and my kids actually enjoy going to school. We have been very happy with the curriculum and the smaller class sizes allow for individual attention if needed. My children have enjoyed all the sports offered throughout the year (cross country, basketball, volleyball, and coed volleyball). There is a very active parents club, who provide fun activities throughout the year. We came to the school for the education, but the community of families adds to the reason we have stayed.
