Walsh Elementary School

It is a first year here for my family. This is the public school that is more like a private school. It does give a family feel appeal. The pros with the students from what I can see it holding them to accountability for their learning and workload. The workloads seem balanced and the teacher response is great. This is the first year for the Principal as a Principal. I would say the communication there could be better outside a newsletter. I love the fact the Superintendent makes it his business to know the kids, I hope he takes time to know the families as well. So far so good, I will review again after this year concludes.

I went to this school as a child and it was amazing

We sent all three of our children to this Montessori school in Lemont and we have nothing but praises for this institution. The school checked all the boxes when it comes to meeting the standards that a Montessori school sets forth in learning. The staff is well-qualified and I would recommend this school to anyone considering a great school for their kids to thrive!

We love the school community. Both the staff and the parents are welcoming and loving. The teachers are effective at teaching the kids to be respectful, responsible, and God-centered. We had amazing leadership this past year so that the students could return to school. I highly recommend you check out this school.

Welcome to the new SJS! We love the new administration and teachers! They have been wonderful and my kids actually enjoy going to school. We have been very happy with the curriculum and the smaller class sizes allow for individual attention if needed. My children have enjoyed all the sports offered throughout the year (cross country, basketball, volleyball, and coed volleyball). There is a very active parents club, who provide fun activities throughout the year. We came to the school for the education, but the community of families adds to the reason we have stayed. We have made life long friends at SJS.
