Staff do not care for the well being of your child while in their care. If your child has special need or has an IEP, this isn’t the school. They play favoritism and will not discipline students when bullying occurs. Staff members are nonchalant. Inappropriate student to teacher behavior. The dean WILL yell at your child which explains why a lot of students do not attend the school. I spoke with principal and she told me to transfer school because nothing will change. Very bad attitudes and your child will not be watched properly. This school is a huge disappointment. They are dropping academically every year and it’s because they aim to comfort the staff and not the parents and students. Please think twice about this school because it need a turn around. The dean will not take action if the child is in there favor. This school has affected my child’s behavior in a horrible manner because of constant disciplinary issue being over looked.

Hi, I know I shouldn't be writing this to my own school that I use to be in for years, I wanna talk my experience in there before I transfer to a different school, it happen in 7th or a lower grade, basically the students were rude and sometimes aggressive, I've been attacked by four girls who are my bullies for trying to have fun in one of the play area, calling me fat and a square due to my body, got called a crybaby for crying after getting attacked on my knees, legs, stomach, and on my genitals, but when I tell the staff about everything especially the lady I trust, somewhat just figured that they didn't stopped the bullying situation, in the main office, they gave me a box of tissues in case I cry more, and I waited for the man to get here to talk with the situation but he never came, I waited there till it's almost past 3:40 or anything, my mom has to pick me up and said that she'll get her lawyer if this happens again, in lunch the boys said they were going to pull my ponytail and rape me from behind over and over again, I don't feel safe in Hamline if the staff and principal do their jobs for taking responsibility for students who are getting harassed or assaulted. Mind you, I never did something to anyone in my class, they're poking and playing at me for being myself or minding my own business that didn't bother anyone, but when school was starting coming, I begged my mom to transfer me to the school near our house till I transfer on Thursday to feel safe again. And for any adults or anyone reading this, please take care and look after your children's from getting bullied or harassed, thank you.

School that has gotten better by leaps and bounds in recent years. The parents who send their kids here care.

SHERMAN IS NOT A SCHOOL IF YOU IS NOT READY FOR THE BULLYING TEACHERS TALKING ABT YOU THE FOOD IS SOMETIMES PINK AND THE SECURITY WILL TALK ABOUT YOU AND CRUSE AT YOU BEHIDE YOUR BACK AND THEY WILL CALL YOUR PARENTS AT LIKE 10:00 something after the fight and they will just pass out gifts and do nothing and let the other student go to class the dean smoke and he came to work high and the dean will call you messys for calling your uncle or any family Members and say when people talk abt you or your weight Thats not bullying and there just unprofessional school to work with.!

With a child at this school, it never fails to amaze me time and time again. It exceeds my expectations.
