Augustus Tolton Catholic Academy

Our daughter just graduated from Brownell's Pre-K program with Ms. Godina and Mrs. Thompson. Our experience at the school has been wonderful--the staff is welcoming and professional, and our daughter's teachers were incredibly kind, patient, and nurturing. Over the past year, we watched our daughter blossom and mature in every way. She's calmer, more confident, and of course much more knowledgeable--during her year at Brownell, she's learned her letters and how to write her name, and is ready to start reading and writing. She often came home proud of work she had done in class. The school offers fun and enriching field trips, as well as manageable homework assignments that encourage parents and kids to work together. The Brownell community is passionate and engaged, and we are proud to have been a part of it.

Deneen is the best school I want to their help you with all have of your work it will be less fight every since I want to Deneen it's a good school I'm about to graduate out of there

I have personally observed the principal, Mrs. McCarthy yelling at students about attendance as soon as they enter the doors din the morning. School staff have refused to assist and support a homeless family by denying the children, school supplies, new uniforms, and transportation assistance. They have violated a parent's right to have support available and isolated that parent while communicating with them. They have implemented an attendance incentive program that is unjust for all the students. The school staff is very concerned about attendance but do nothing to support students being able to attend everyday while students are performing very low academically.

If you can deal with irritating teachers, than you can come here.

I have no good review for this school. My granddaughter attend Tanner, I would like for her parent to place her in another school that is willing and able to work with the parent who are concern about there child(ren)'s educations. We have had complaint and the issue have not been addressed.

This school is great especially Mr.pender 6 th grade
