I appreciate the time my child has spent in this school. The teachers and staff have been wonderful and available for consultation from me as a parent. They seem to genuinely care about the kids. The principal is active and well known. I have seen him many times interacting with the teachers and children and not only back in an office. There are plenty of (pre-covid) activities that are well planned to bring the community together. I feel my family is respected and my child is getting a great education. The building is inviting and there is a good atmosphere.

All I can say is that if you have an above-average child, you will probably love this school. However, if your child is average or below average and needs extra help, you will likely face many problems and have a very difficult experience here. The principal is the worst we’ve had since my kids started attending, and now she’s being promoted to superintendent. This school used to be amazing before she ruined it.

This is our 2nd year at GFA. Our daughter went to a nature school previously and was homeschooled before that so I was nervous about her going into a traditional learning environment. She loves GFA. She loves her teacher and she gets to do STEAM class with upper school kids which she loves. She likes music class. I love the morning convocation the school does. The kids get recognized for their accomplishments and parents can join. The only negative is they are a small school so a bit limited on special education services. I do think it is a unique place and maybe not for all families but I am grateful it exists for ours.

It was a good school. The teachers were nice, and the principal at the time was as well.
