Read what parents are saying about Kaneohe Elementary SchoolPrincipal is not concerned about childrens saftey.
Posted by a parent on 9/14/2022This is the complete opposite of what my family has experiencing with teachers here our daughter did great in innovation academy but when our son that requires SPED help we were constantly met with not having time to because the teachers either don’t know how to work with SPED students or really just don’t care. If you child need extra help this isn’t the school for them they lack all values they are saying they want their students to live by. It’s do as I say not what I do attitude here. With little to no support from the last 2 teachers our son had. On safety our son was being bullied by a few of his classmates when we told the teachers they gave the excuse that they can’t be everywhere yet they are aware they of this one particular student that has been bullring not just our son but a few others yet the student is there everyday with no disciplinary actions. This boy teased has hit and pushed and bitt our son thrown his items on the ground yet he has never had detention or even suspension it took us reaching out to the boys mother for this to stop and having our son moved to another class.

Posted by a parent on 12/4/2021I wish I could give it "0" stars becaus of the horrible experience my daughter had in kindergarten because of a kindergarten teacher that destroyed my daughter's confidence and mentally traumatized her from yelling at her over a coloring project. Principal and counsellors only covered up for this teacher and blamed my 5 yr. old. Up until I got a medical note that the incident caused mental and physical stress on my daughter. She's the oldest kindergarten teacher and truly should retire. Writing this now because my daughter has started 1st grade and has the sweetest soft spoken teacher and my daughter is scared to ask for help thinking she'll be yelled at again. I will say that there are some great teachers there. Protect your children.
Posted by a community member on 8/1/2015My 2 kids attend Kaneohe. The new Principal is great and provides a varied after school program (Japanese, Mandarin (language course changes every year), robotics, etc.). Teachers my kids had were great and do a good job of communicating with us. The library is being expanded and should open soon. Kids can't wait till it does. The PTA or Ohana as it's called puts on some big events to fundraise. As with most volunteer organizations it's run by a few dedicated parents and can always use more people to help out. As for the negative review without details as to what the problem was you can't really treat it as being valid.

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSome of the staff were great and most of the teachers care about the students but the principal doesn’t actually solve any issues and is a master at talking in circles. The bullies rule the school and get away with it because they put on a good act in front of the adults. Majority of the kids are afraid to say anything for fear of the bullies getting even worse than they already are. If you are not native Hawaiian- don’t come here.Parent Review4y ago - Kapunahala Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMost excellent school with lots of parental involvement. The teachers are wonderful and commuted to the students. One of their teachers was the the State Teacher of the year 2016. Also, their counselor was State Counselor of the year! Great teaching staff and great environment.Parent Review5y ago - Reverend Benjamin Parker Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageVERY POOR. The Principal is ALWAYS changing classrooms and curriculum because she "thinks" it'll work best and then when that fails, she just keeps guessing. She's inexperience and shady. She hires "teachers" that doesn't have teaching degrees. On top of that, she's rude, impatient, and apparently is in meetings ALL day everyday. She lacks accountability for her failures and blames her teachers for it.Parent Review5y ago - Ke Kula O Samuel M Kamakau - A Laboratory Public Charter School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school in Kailua has two campuses and serves kids (preschool through high school) and parents. Trinity Christian School Kailua is a part of the Trinity Presbyterian Church. Some people call it the Trinity Christian Church. It's amazing to have school and church still combined. Small town feel yet big enough to have lots of offerings.Other Review11mo ago
