Pine Ridge Elementary School

In comparison to ther other elementary schools nearby, I had an overall decent learning experience.

Redan ES is one of the worst schools in DeKalb County due to Principal Blakely. The teachers are doing their best with the lack of support and resources. The AP refuses to discipline unruly students, and the school's culture is deplorable. Let's talk about the raoches flying around and the lack of safety with the side gate always available for anyone to walk in. The school needs to replace the administration and clean up.

This is a joke of an elementary school starting from the principal Miss Tamika Muhammad on down. They cannot protect the smallest children in their school from vicious attacks of bullying. Be it from a substitute teacher or students who they cannot seem to get control on or corral and my children's tenure of just under a year. They have been engaged in over 15 acts of violence and bullying by teachers and students. It's a joke to say that these people can safely watch in the 10 years children's basic needs, let alone provide the education they need to succeed and go forward. I sincerely hope at this school has a safety audit and is seriously reviewed from the top down. This is an embarrassment and it's staying on DeKalb county to have a school operated in this tenure. Please get some help

Administration are not well versed in certain guidelines and rules. Needs a new leader who is more concerned with the well being of children instead of their self.

How do you not have ANYTHING TO CELEBRATE THE 5th graders moving on and encouraging success! This school is horrible RUN! And I mean FAST! Dealt with this school 6 whole years and I at least expected a small ceremony for our future middle schoolers

Review for Excellence MontessoriMy child spent about a year in the elementary program at Excellence Montessori, the worst school experience we’ve ever had. The elementary classroom combines all grade levels together and has no structure. The teacher had no control over the students, and when I sat in to observe after a semester, what I witnessed was pure chaos. The children knew the teacher had no authority, and there was no real learning environment at all.Bullying was also a serious problem. My child reported it repeatedly, and despite my many emails and meetings with the teachers, nothing was ever done. The lack of action and accountability was unacceptable.The school itself is another red flag. It is very dirty, disorganized, and poorly maintained. When you walk in, look behind the front desk, It is nasty and unkempt, and the kitchen is so unsanitary. It’s appalling that a school operates under such conditions.Other parents whose children were in the daycare program had similar complaints about poor supervision, lack of structure, and overall neglect. Clearly, these issues run across all levels of the school. With approximately 10 children in the entire elementary program, it’s obvious many families have already pulled their kids out.Excellence Montessori is unsafe, unclean, and unstructured. I strongly urge parents to look elsewhere.
