Read what parents are saying about Dacula Elementary SchoolThis school was awful. Fortunately, my kid spent very little time here. They are horrible at communicating. I never knew what was happening aside from what my child would tell me. My attempts to reach out to the school were typically unanswered. My kid had a sub about 40% of the time and we never knew why.
Posted by a parent on 3/13/2024THEY DO NOT CARE!!!! Please find a school that better fits your needs for your child! My child enrolled in this school for a short time and the experience was not very pleasant; this school is not equipped to handle any Social- Emotional Support and lacks the patience for a child with ADD or ADHD (Special Needs). The special education department went above and beyond to make sure my child had a great IEP and My child felt happy, safe and treated normal with his special ed teacher. This school is more focused on testing and donations, and I advise all parents to beware and have a solid plan in place if their child needs extra support or has Mental/ Behavior problems, they won't be treated kind or fair but will be treated like a problem child instead of a child who needs help and support!
Posted by a parent on 8/20/2023My daughter attended this school almost 3 years I had to change her teacher the first year because the teacher would leave students outside at recess not making sure she had all students accounted for. She left negative comments made up false statements about my child that made absolutely no sense. My daughter 4th grade teacher was okay in the beginning however there was no communication with the parents when there is bullying or things going on while my child was in care of the school. I had to find things out from my child no teacher no principal no one communicated at all. I emailed the teacher and principal absolutely no replies. They offer no extracurricular activities like they should. This School is just no my cup of tea I care about my kids health well being and education. How I see it if they don’t care about a child’s safety how can they possibly care about their education. I only dealt with this school for the bus but it’s 3 other schools closer to my home than this one it’s actually the farthest from my house. I personally don’t recommend unless it’s a last resort.
Posted by a parent on 8/1/2023My child has ADD and the school really came together to devise a plan for her that would give her the best opportunity to achieve at her highest potential. Parents, Administration and teachers come together easily. We are heard. We matter. Our concerns matter and most importantly, EVERY child matters to this school. We will only be leaving this school if we have to relocate.
Posted by a parent on 8/17/2016My two daughters have attended since kindergarten and both love going to school each day. There is a great emphasis on parent involvement, making this feel like a tight-knit community. My second grader is in the FOCUS program and Mrs Vaughn does a fabulous job challenging her kids, while keeping the curriculum fun and fresh. Overall, extremely pleased with this school and its staff members.

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is amazing! My son has been coming here for 2 years and my daughter went all 6 years here. We absolutely love this school, administration and the staff. It is a very warm and welcoming place. My son thrives and soaks up every piece of teaching his teacher provides. He comes home wanting to share everything he has learned and experienced. The staff is always happy and engaged in the students. They even attend sporting events played by students on the weekends! The school hosts fun and engaging events throughout the year. You got to check out the Multi Cultural night, wow so much fun! My daughter is in high school and still keeps in touch with some of her teachers. It's a wonderful place to start your child's education!Parent Review4w ago - Alcova Elementary School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school is great, teacher provides special accompaniment to the students who need it most. Teacher prioritizes fundamental learning and students are happy. The community is very diverse culturally which is great. Teachers who I’ve interacted with are amazing and care for kids. School is welcoming but feedback that I would provide is the front door staff Kimberly needs more observation as how the lady treats some guardians, specially Hispanic community and better her customer service or client experience skills. Some guardians have mentioned that they are afraid and don’t even want to do early check out for their kids because of the negative atmosphere the front door lady represents.Parent Review1y ago - Old Peachtree Montessori School
