Posted by a parent on 3/7/2024Principals will hide stuff from parents. Peoples kids who attend this school seem to not be taught manners at home. My son stays getting bullied or harassed by these bad lil kids who have no discipline.

Posted by a parent on 9/5/2023I am very impressed with the dedication and involvement of the teachers and staff at Layer Elementary. My child loves going to school every day. The teachers are encouraging and take the time to make sure students feel comfortable and do their best. One of the things I appreciate most is the focus on community involvement. Layer actively encourages parents and families to participate in various activities, from volunteering in the classroom to attending school events. This collaborative approach creates a strong sense of community that supports the students and the school.

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child has been with this school for two years and has amassed average learning. the fact that the school hasn't enforced any homework is hindering their ability to stay interested in in their work. The teacher they currently have, gives default summaries which feel disingenuous. The staff seem to be pretty supportive of the mental wellbeing, albeit a little overbearing. The children around my child's grade level are very influential, (mine now being no exception) and share information and content that are leagues above all of their own maturity. On grounds the school doesn't seem to keep a keen eye on who has screens and what the content my be. When it comes to events that they invite family to, they specifically make imperative that you don't bring any of their siblings. That is absurd. I would recommend against bringing your child to this school quite honestly.Parent Review2mo ago - Winter Springs Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI attended HE as a child and overall had a great experience. I have now had 2 children of my own attend HE & have had great experiences 7 years in a row. I know a lot of the staff as they are always on the car ramp. My child currently in 1st grade needs additional assistance & is receiving it! We are not just pleased but we are genuinely happy with our experience at HE and have another child who will attend in the near future.Parent Review3y ago - Keeth Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have been going to this school for almost a year now, and it has been a very positive experience. The teachers are dedicated and they seem to really have a passion for the subject that they teach. The students are kind and friendly and they made me feel welcome as a new freshman. Even though the homework can be burdensome, I have learned new study techniques and the school has resources for if you feel overwhelmed. And I feel that this school has helped me grow in my faith as a Christian, I highly recommend it!Student Review1y ago - Oak Arbor Christian School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI can't say enough good things about Oak Arbor Christian School - it is an amazing school for little ones to grow! I have a 6th grader and 3rd grader who went to Oak Arbor, and I currently have a two-year old at Oak Arbor. All three of them have loved Oak Arbor and blossomed during their time here. The formative years are so important to build a strong foundation, and they definitely do that here. I'm not into pushing academics at the age of two, as I feel like they should learn through play and experiences, which they do here. They get to play outside a lot (they have a great outdoor space) which is important to me. But most importantly, the teachers love the kiddos and take such good care of them. It's like home away from home, an extended family! I highly recommend this school for your little one. I kept my kids here as long as I could - through 1st grade - as they were excelling and it was such a loving and encouraging environment.Other Review2y ago - Ucp Of Central Florida
