9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughters have been attending Kendale Lakes Elementary since kindergarten. I remember feeling very nervous in the beginning because, as a parent, sending your child to school for the first time can be scary. The unknown can make any parent anxious. However, as the years went by, my daughters and I truly began to feel like we were part of a family.Mrs. Martha T. Jaureguizar, the principal, is incredibly professional, kind, and warm-hearted. She creates such a positive and welcoming environment for the students and parents. The entire staff reflects that same level of care and dedication.Elena Alvarez has always shown how much she cares about the students and takes her job very seriously. You can tell she truly wants the best for every child. The front staff, including Barbie, the security guard, and Mr. Hawkins, are also amazing. They help keep the school safe while always welcoming families with open arms every single day. This school has been such an important part of my daughters’ childhood. They have watched my girls grow up over the years, and it makes me very emotional knowing this is their last year here.If you are considering Kendale Lakes Elementary for your children, I truly recommend it. You will not regret it. It is a school full of caring people who make students and families feel supported and valued.Thank you for being such an important part of our journey.Parent Review3mo ago32 Reviews - Leewood K-8 Center

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a parent of multiple students at Leewood for over 10 years, I have always appreciated our school. Unfortunately, I've noticed a rapid decline in its quality. The staff seems to be doing the bare minimum, and it no longer meets the standards set by other schools. We believe that a supportive environment with friendly staff who genuinely care about parents' feedback is essential for our children's education. With many educational options available, we have decided to leave this year in search of a new school that offers better support and attentive staff.Parent Review1y ago49 Reviews - Devon Aire K-8 Center

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school is great for special needs children. The social-emotional support along with the new principal's effort to engage families to attend the school is great. The art and music teacher are amazing. I cannot say the same about the elementary PE teacher or spanish teacher. My child felt targeted by the PE teacher. She doesn't show them any effective ways to get better at physical education. The spanish teacher literally gets to teach them from 1st to 5th grade, and my child did NOT learn anything. The spanish teacher needs to go!Parent Review4mo ago21 Reviews - William H. 9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe were hesitant at first to go public but it’s truly been the best place for our son who has very high functioning autism. He’s in an inclusive classroom and is thriving, has lots of friends, and is doing well academically. The school feels very safe, is gated and has an officer present at all times. The moment you walk in you feel a sense of peace. They have a beautiful inner courtyard and colorful murals everywhere. Their musical theatre program is top notch and they also have band. They offer after school or there are other surrounding organizations that they bus to if you prefer. We are very happy with the school, teachers and administrators. I also want to say that the student teacher ratio is excellent, there are only about 22 kids in my son’s 2nd grade class and an aid comes in for math, reading and writing. Compared to some private schools which have limited options for kids on the spectrum, you really can’t get something better than what they have at WLE. He’s supported but also pushed outside of his comfort zone and we’re thankful for it.Parent Review7mo ago18 Reviews - Our Lady Of The Rosary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMostly inexperienced teachers with subpar qualifications. Expect a high turnover. New teachers are rarely better than the ones they are replacing. The administration (Herrera and her son ) are always looking for a lower-cost employee. No degree, OK! No English, OK! No manners, OK!Administration is unresponsive when it comes to dealing with any parent complaint/issue.Cafeteria is not air-conditioned. Your kids should be prepared to sweat!!! Bathroom conditions are deplorable, and should probably be reviewed by a building inspector and by DCF. This used to be a daycare so the stalls are build for toddlers. Any kids over 6 doesn't fit in the stalls! The religious education is practically no-existent. No clubs or art, music, languages. Only sports are Basketball and Cheerleading.Pros: Office staff (Ms. Flor and Ms. Dittmar are kind are caring), and the school has a nice open playground.Parent Review4y ago16 Reviews - St. John Neumann School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe worst school I have attended to so far. So bad, I had to switch year due to the blatant bullying, not by the students but by the teachers. I was in a horrible mental state, and instead of the school practicing what they preach (to love students) they said I was committing sins. All the teachers have superiority complex. They abuse their power and punish you like an adult, although your brain is still developing. DO NOT GO HERE! After I switched I was happy and thriving.Other Review2mo ago37 Reviews - For Kids Sake Academy
