Read what parents are saying about Devon Aire K-8 CenterThe best experience for my two children!
Posted by a parent on 3/18/2023My daughter just graduated 8th grade from Devon air. I moved into the neighborhood because of the school because apparently used to be a great school years ago. That has changed. I witnessed my daughters friends get changed to different schools as she begged to get out into Arvida which has a terrible reputation and for that reason I never decided to change schools. The kids that attend Devon air are great kids in general but the administration has no clue as how to deal with teen and preteens. Teachers are bullies, so if you have your child there do not think teachers have the kids best interest. There are some good teachers that seem to lose interest quickly.
Posted by a parent on 7/29/2021This used to be a great school many years ago. Hurts to say, but they have definitely lost their touch! Though they have some exceptional teachers, the few bad apples that they do have bring their score down in my book.. The administration is not the best and the middle school offers very little for students. If you are looking for K-8 convenience, that is all you will get. You are keeping your child from all that most other middle schools offer as far as programs and elective departments.
Posted by a parent on 1/27/2021Completely terrible. We moved into this neighborhood for the school district and pay higher than normal rents to live here because of that. I definitely regret it now. They depend on their last reputation of being an exceptional school but it hasn’t lived up to that in a very long time. Lots of students and teachers have been leaving and I don’t blame them. We’ve had trouble here almost from day one and it’s only gotten worse. Teachers and administration have a horrible attitude and really believe they are an amazing school. If that were true, they would put their own kids there but most of them go to other schools (including the assistant principal’s kids)!!! What does that tell you? Do yourself a favor and stay far away! The high rating is only because of test scores which are also constantly falling. All they really care about at this school is the FSA to make them look like a good school. Worst decision ever to send my child here!!! I’m actively looking for another one.
Posted by a parent on 1/30/2020I would rate it as a 2.0 i thought this school was suppose to be an excellent school and even moved to put my child there but i was totally wrong since. She started in 3rd grade and now she is in 6th grade and i see no improvement in anything from teachers to office staff to student. I wish i can move again to change her to something better.

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWilliam Lehman is an amazing school! The majority of the teachers are great and very involved. Administration and staff are very helpful and make sure if there is an issue that the child's needs are being met! The principal is really good about parent involvement and our PTA is on point!. I was nervous when I had to switch my daughter to public school, but WLE has been a huge blessing to us! Their drama performance every year is spectacular and my daughter is happy and thriving academically as well as emotionally!Parent Review7y ago - The Creative Learning Center

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHeartbreaking disappointment...My older son went to this school and had a good experience. My younger son was there recently, but I had to pull him out. He did pre-k 2 there. During that year he was diagnosed with autism and started receiving behavior and speech therapy while in school. The director and teachers seemed to have his best interests at heart. We had a meeting with the director and my son's behavior analyst in April and agreed to leave him in the same class with the same teacher for the next school year (the director's idea). Everything started changing in august starting with the day of the orientation with the teacher's shock and confusion as to why my son was in her class again, and continuing with cold treatment from staff and parents. I sent emails and left messages with the director to have a conference and no one ever got back to me. The last straw is when I found out that the teacher was telling the other children not to play with my son. I showed up at the school that afternoon clearly upset. All I could do was cry as I explained everything That had been going on. She accused me of not showing up for a meeting - thAt her secretary left me a message - a flat out lie because my voicemail was not working at the time. She put on an unauthentic display of sympathy and then stood up as I was still sobbing to say her goodbyes. No one cared. All of this could have been avoided if she just would have come out and told me that she no longer felt that her school was the right place for my son.Parent Review6y ago - Montessori Childrens House

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son attended MCH from Jan 2020 until schools were forced to close in March 2020. While I had some issues with communication between the teachers and myself, I knew that my son was enjoying the social interactions that being in school provided. What followed after the shutdown was truly a disappointment.Remote learning for my sons class consisted of 2-3 unoriginal content videos a week and one 15 minute zoom session with his class that often seemed unplanned and frenzied. While I’m sympathetic to the radical changes teachers were forced to make, to say the process was poorly executed is an understatement. In conversations with other moms I had become well aware of how other schools were handling the situation, including tuition costs and curriculum. MCH really failed us in many ways. When my husband and I reached out to try and come to an agreement on what we could pay for the remaining months that would be reasonable for both parties we were expressing told that full payment would be expected with no exceptions. The entire situation was made worse when they began ignoring our emails, phone calls and even visits to the school. This school functions coldly and with little actual regard for the families writing the checks.Parent Review3y ago - For Kids Sake Academy
