My son was able to join the school after having a difficult experience somewhere else. At KLE he has flourished and grown thanks to the help of his great teachers and the supportive staff. School is welcoming to parents.

There’s something special about returning to a place that once impacted you so profoundly and having the opportunity to make that same impact in return. That’s exactly how it feels to work at Oliver Hoover as a teacher after attending as a student from Kindergarten through 5th grade.The environment at OHES is, and always has been, incredibly family-oriented. The teachers are truly dedicated to what they do, and every staff member plays a part in making sure it’s a safe, welcoming, and fun place to learn.I am so proud of our school! Not to mention, we’re the only school in Kendall that has been A-rated for 25 consecutive years.Once a Wise Owl, always a Wise Owl!!!

This school sucks. This new principal has made everything suck. I miss the the old principal

My daughter has been there since VPK and has now graduated 5th grade. The Teachers and staff are amazing but the principle is a different story. Pre covid it was great but when things closed I guess she must of liked it and Claude Pepper has remained a closed school since. There's no parent engagement. Don't expect a mothers day brunch, grandparents activity, Christmas shows, talent shows, there's maybe 1 school dance or 2. Field trips i think in 7 yrs my daughter has been to 4 and 3 of them where for 5th grade. I love the teachers so much they really do the best they can but I wish something would change with the principle, you only go to Elementary once and those memories are forever, they don't get those years back, I would suggest to find a school that not only allows for a great education but that also is welcoming to families and students.

This school is genuinely so harmful towards students with mental health issues as they do not care for mental health. Are you depressed? Convince your parent not to come because you miss two days for said depression they will NOT care. They claim to do so and even have clubs but you try to talk with someone and all they do is give a scripted line and call your parents. My friend missed a few days because she was at the HOSPITAL for her mental health and they did not care and expelled her. It’s truly disgraceful how they don’t care for their students and all about attendance, uniform, and trying to keep a good reputation knowing full well majority of their students are struggling . Although that lies on the students behalf as well, they do not try to be involved. Do not get me started on teachers as well. Majority are dismissive, lazy, and harsh. The amount of teachers who think playing only videos and not teaching or reading the assignment without explaining (literally just reading questions and lazily repeating it in a way to seem like it’s different) is teaching. Only few teachers here actually care and that’s a very small minority. Don’t be late too you’re late by a SECOND and they act like you skipped class. They have a very serious strict attendance requirement and some teachers force you to get a late pass if you’re a little late. I understand some cases is on us but some people don’t have proper transportation like me! And the kids- don’t even get me started. You wanna avoid the genuine rude kids and disrespectful ones that think being rude to the teachers is funny? Take hard classes. Only way to avoid them is going into AP classes and some still manage to sneak in. It’s so tiring being a student here and it’s ruined my mental health so badly that I’m struggling in my classes because I don’t have the energy or will to do my work because these teachers are so useless. Just to make this clear I’m not failing any classes. To make sure this review is not out of anger though I’m sure you can sense some of it. Anyway don’t come to this school. Not worth it

I’m very grateful with Ms. Monica Fernandez and Thais mancha this years is my daughter firts years at school setting I was take care or my daughter since she born and just be able to see her improve made my heart melting so we are grateful with them for the patience love in everything they do, even the staffs they are amazing !

Completely amazing staff, my little sister has improved so much whilst in their care and I can’t thank them enough for helping us with everything. Reality of it is they feel like family in such little time and most importantly my baby is happy there with everything and that’s what we as a community should care mostly about.
