Claude Pepper Elementary School

Kendale Lakes Elementary is an exemplary school in our community. My son, an outgoing fifth grader, is now transitioning smoothly to middle school after seven wonderful years at KLE. Every year, we were blessed with dedicated teachers who provided the exact right challenge to help him reach his full potential. Not only did he make great academic strides, but he also soared in special areas like physical education, music, and art.Extracurriculars such as Safety Patrol, Robotics, and the Morning News team gave him the confidence to step outside his comfort zone. Additionally, the continuous support from his speech therapists provided the consistency and social integration essential to his success. We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to his journey—from the administration to the cafeteria and custodial staff. We couldn't have asked for a better elementary school experience!

Oliver Hoover Elementary is truly a special place. As both a parent and an active member of the school community, I have seen firsthand how dedicated the teachers, administrators, and staff are to helping every child feel supported, welcomed, and capable of succeeding.OHES provides a strong academic foundation while also creating meaningful opportunities for students through special events, clubs, performances, family activities, and school traditions. The teachers genuinely care about their students, and the administration is approachable, responsive, and committed to maintaining a positive learning environment. What stands out most is the strong sense of community. Families are encouraged to participate, students are celebrated, and the school works hard to make everyone feel like part of the Wise Owl family. My children’s experiences at OHES have been filled with wonderful teachers, lasting friendships, and special memories.I am proud to be an OHES parent and grateful for the positive impact this school continues to have on our children and community.

My grand son is in this school, his teacher Miss Vazquez is so engaged and proactive that he said a few days ago to his little brother "Amed next year when you come to my school you will have the best teacher of this world" She makes special every day for students and parents. Thanks so much

PTA is more focused on body guarding their own kids rather than serving the community. Specially kids that don’t have present family members. Recognition are given to PTA members kids. Very poor support for families. They always link “problem” kids with a disability. But do not provide enough support.

Our experience with this school was very disappointing, and unfortunately, I cannot recommend it.My son enrolled in April after our family moved from New Jersey to Florida due to financial and work-related reasons. From the first day, we informed the school that this transition was emotionally very difficult for him. We hoped he would find a supportive and understanding environment, but that was not our experience. My son frequently told us that some teachers spoke harshly to students, calling them “lazy” and constantly telling them that sixth grade would be “terrible,” creating fear instead of encouragement. One incident was especially upsetting. A teacher brought donuts for the class, but when it was my son’s turn, she told him he couldn’t have one because she was giving them first to students who had “priority.” She then gave donuts to every other child, leaving him out. After I spoke with her, she apologized and explained it was a misunderstanding, and her attitude toward my son noticeably improved afterward. The same teacher would also tell him, “Remember when you used to cry every time you came to school?” whenever he became distracted in class. I understand that discipline is important, but children should be corrected with respect and empathy, not by reminding them of vulnerable moments.Because of everything he experienced, my son chose not to attend the end-of-year activities, only his graduation. After the teachers learned this, they repeatedly talked in class about how amazing the celebration would be and how much fun everyone attending would have. My son felt these comments were directed at him, making him feel even more excluded. The most heartbreaking part was the emotional impact this had on him. He became so overwhelmed that he told me he wanted to die. I was only able to speak with the administration at that point because the situation had become critical. Later, I repeatedly requested a meeting with the principal, but despite being told I would be contacted, no one ever followed up.Teachers help shape children’s confidence and emotional well-being, not just their education. I sincerely hope this school reflects on the importance of empathy, respect, and supporting students during difficult transitions.

I’m very grateful with Ms. Monica Fernandez and Thais mancha this years is my daughter firts years at school setting I was take care or my daughter since she born and just be able to see her improve made my heart melting so we are grateful with them for the patience love in everything they do, even the staffs they are amazing !

Choosing Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School for our child’s education since kindergarten has been one of our best decisions. Now in 7th grade, we have seen firsthand how OLOL has nurtured our son‘s academic growth, integrity and passion for lifelong learning. The family-like atmosphere, along with its dedicated educators, has made all the difference and been instrumental in shaping our son Sebastian’s journey. Each teacher he’s had has deeply inspired him, encouraging growth, igniting curiosity, and helping him thrive across the board through engaging instruction, warmth and genuine passion. As a reflection of his dedication and the school’s rigorous academic environment, our child has earned awards in every subject, maintained Principal’s Honor Roll for three consecutive years, and continues to master advanced math and science, his favorite subjects in middle school. Under the visionary and compassionate leadership of Principal Mrs. Cabrera, OLOL continues to shine as a beacon of faith and excellence, combining strong Catholic values, high-caliber academic instruction, vibrant student life and modern technology with a safe, supportive environment where each child is recognized, valued, and empowered to thrive. OLOL has guided our son’s intellectual growth and shaped him into a distinguished young gentleman with strong moral character. The friendships, mentorship, and guidance he has received here will stay with him for years to come. With a strong academic foundation, our shining star is ready to embrace the future with limitless possibilities.
