Would not recommend this school. I’ve had a few issues with Sherwood school. I thought it would get better but it didn’t. Office is not good at communicating with teachers. They never seem to know what’s going on. Which this scares me if there were to be an intruder or an emergency at the school. He

Posted by a parent on 3/3/2024The staff and faculty at Sherwood are some of the best teachers and my girls love nearly everyone there. They even have gifted taught at the school which is a big plus. My girls came home one day starting in kindergarten and they were able to read. I was impressed and the teachers really have built

I love the 5th grade zoo school. Sherwood has a preschool program as well. The principal that is there now is good at what she does and is friendly. S

The teachers don't stay in communication with parents. There is no support. They are only teaching for tests and not to help the students learn.I'm looking for alternatives so my daughter doesn't have to return next school year. The chaperones they have on the busses are rude and on a power trip. I don't feel save having my daughter ride the bus home. The teachers are amazing (shout-out to Mrs. Beck), the school is a fun place to learn, and it is a very friendly community to start off a child’s educational experience. As a new student, our child struggled to feel included, and the environment often felt very cliquish among students, teachers, and some administrative staff.The most concerning part was a serious incident in which another student crossed our child’s personal boundaries. Despite the seriousness of the situation, the administration did not handle it appropriately, and the student responsible, who had been at the school for many years, was not held accountable.There were a few kind families, but overall we felt unsupported, unheard, and unsafe. Families who start their children at the school very young might have a different experience, but coming in as an older student was not positive for us.
