Great school with excellent teachers! Kids are able to make friends easily.

I've been trying to get my daughter tested and into an IEP program but I keep getting the run around. The teachers don't stay in communication with parents. There is no support. They are only teaching for tests and not to help the students learn.I'm looking for alternatives so my daughter doesn't have to return next school year. The chaperones they have on the busses are rude and on a power trip. I don't feel save having my daughter ride the bus home. I absolutely don't recommend this school.

They don’t even let parents walk young kids in on their first day and are super rude about it.

This is a very prejudice school. If your child doesn't fit into their 'ideal child' mold, they will bully your child more then the kids do. If I hadn't seen it first hand I wouldn't have believed it and I don't have school aged children.

Our experience at Verdi EcoSchool has been nothing short of an adventure. Verdi EcoSchool integrates the local community into the learning environment, allowing my now 10-year-old to be an active part of her community, something not often seen in traditional schools. Learning happens both on and off-campus, and students become responsible members of the community while mastering academic skills.The educators at EcoSchool are passionate and dedicated. They don't just show up for the job—they walk alongside each student on their learning journey. Students have a voice in their learning, gaining autonomy to guide their educational experience, but within the boundaries of structure and support.What I appreciate most is the focus on individualized learning. The school offers annual assessments to track each student's growth, and based on results, the educators adjust the learning plan to meet individual needs. With small class sizes (less than 10 students), each child receives the attention they need. Success isn't measured by grades, but by the learning process. Project-based learning is a staple, where students explore themes through field trips, research, and hands-on projects. Instead of exams, students lead their own conferences, guiding parents through their self-assessments and reflecting on their progress.The culture at Verdi EcoSchool is built on relationships, and conscious discipline is at its core. Families participate in ongoing training and workshops to implement these practices at home. Family involvement is crucial to the school’s success. Though it requires commitment, it’s a rewarding sacrifice. Families can volunteer in areas they feel called to, fostering a sense of service and modeling how to raise community helpers.In an ever-changing world, it's essential for children to develop a love of learning and problem-solving skills. Verdi EcoSchool combines traditional academics with real-world experiences, shaping students into problem-solvers for the future.
