Great school with excellent teachers! Kids are able to make friends easily.

I've been trying to get my daughter tested and into an IEP program but I keep getting the run around. The teachers don't stay in communication with parents. There is no support. They are only teaching for tests and not to help the students learn.I'm looking for alternatives so my daughter doesn't have to return next school year. The chaperones they have on the busses are rude and on a power trip. I don't feel save having my daughter ride the bus home. I absolutely don't recommend this school.

They don’t even let parents walk young kids in on their first day and are super rude about it.

Horrible school they need help and kids are getting bullied

Having worked at several schools during my career, this school is hands down the best for me. The personnel are a true team: everyone is supported, valued, and respected by everyone else. Faculty and staff are helpful and caring, whether it is for something small like getting materials or larger concerns like creating new curriculum and helping students with difficulties. Administration is part of the team, not above it. They are active participants in the day to day flow of the school, helping in the classroom when needed and checking in frequently with educators to address any needs they have. Teachers are valued: they are given time for planning, resetting classrooms, making new activities, collaborating and team building as well as professional development. In the classroom teachers teach academics and the standards as well as social development. Teachers are given freedom in their classroom to decide how and what they teach to align the coursework with the needs and levels of the students, so all students, regardless of differences, can learn. They are even able to create new classes if they want to share an interest or dive deeper into a topic. Joint classroom activities and working together on projects is common. The academic creativity at this school is so high! When there are problems- and they are rare- they are handled with mature problem solving and opportunities for growth, not punishment or judgement. Parents are also part of the education team and are willing volunteers at the school. The atmosphere of the school is one of a safe place to learn and experience for everyone: the students, the parents and the staff and the teachers.
