Read what parents are saying about Wayne Carle Middle SchoolWorst middle school I’ve seen in a while. The drugs, bullying and fighting seem normal at this school. Only a few adults truly seem to care. The schools way of handling everything is to suspend kids and not deal with the problems. Kids are afraid to say anything. DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE
Posted by a parent on 4/27/2022most of the teachers are nice but some of the teachers can be rude and can't get a handle on their emotions

Posted by a parent on 9/22/2021Absolutely fabulous. The teachers have been awesome helping my child throughout the year. The child has a 504 and making sure it was implemented was easy and everyone was on the same page. My child has had an awesome year and is actually looking forward to going into Grade 7 next year!
Posted by a parent on 5/22/2019I have been extremely disappointed in the administration and teachers. Kids who experience difficulty are not helped but shunned. The administration should assess their egos and determine if they are the right people to influence children.

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHave had two children (6 years apart) attend this school, and they are so welcoming and inclusive to all - race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, or neurodivergence. They have one of the ASD centers of Jeffco, and all staff are just more understanding of neurodivergent children, whether they are in the ASD program or not. They also have a school psychologist and a Social Emotional Learning specialist, and the children regularly engage in social emotional learning. There are events and meetings to help bring the community together as well. The normal PTA meetings, but also school accountability meetings where parents and principle/staff can talk. There are monthly coffee community meetings, where they teach us about a certain topic - such as safe technology, assessments, neurodiversity. I just love how supportive they've been of my kids. As far as discipline/bullying I've only had a couple instances that were taken care of very fast. Example is one time my older son was thrown down and scraped up by an angry friend and it was taken very seriously. Afterwards they even included a group friend discussion and helped my son and his friend work through the upset, and continued to monitor - nothing more ever happened, I really think helping them work through the problems was key.Parent Review2mo ago - Semper Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI just came to this site to compare Woodrow Wilson to our nearby public school. My child and I were discussing standardized testing and together we were looking for comparison data. I am leaving this review because I was shocked at other reviews I saw here. We have two kids in Woodrow Wilson Academy and our experience with the school goes back the last 6 years. The school has been fantastic for that entire period. The students are great, the teachers are great, the PTA is great, the principal is great, the in-school atmosphere is great, and the education is great. Is there too much homework? Arguably. Nonetheless, I highly recommend Woodrow Wilson and anyone who thinks it has been going downhill is absolutely mistaken.Parent Review1mo ago - Meiklejohn Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFrom my experience, the teachers are very engaged with their students and enthusiastic in their teaching. I have witnessed some bullying and I’m not confident it was addressed in a way that significantly improved the outcome. At times it seems the bully was given too much leeway. The social emotional learning aspect of the school, while it’s great to have a program that addresses this, needs development to become stronger. One particular area for improvement this year is the rollout of the new math curriculum. Seems neither the administration or teachers are equipped to help parents guide their children though this new program at home. I imagine it’s much different than the way most parents learned math, so readily available parent resources and more communication about the program, how it’s working, and what we can do to support our kids is much needed. Overall, Meiklejohn is a great school, with friendly and invested teachers and staff, a very supportive community, and a beautiful location to boot. I think special attention is needed in growing social emotional and counseling resources, and the of the new math curriculum.Parent Review5mo ago - Shepherd Of The Valley Lutheran School
