Bradford Elementary School

If your child has a disability and or low social skills because of this disability they will make them sit alone at lunch and away from other kids in the classroom. They also will have them sit alone in the office for 5 hours at a time missing all that classroom instruction. They also don't tell you they do these things. You find out from multiple teachers you know who work in the building.If your child has trouble sitting still because of their disability they take away their recess everyday also. They don't realize these things take away from them building their social skills.And if your child reacts by pushing another child for scratching them, they don't allow them to go on field trips. Only the child with a disability. Not the child without one. They single out children with disabilities. This is by far the worst school in Pueblo. If your child has a disability do not send them here. The principal and counselor are rude and inconsiderate. They have no remorse for their actions and treat children and families extremely poorly. They will straight up tell you that you're a bad parent, when they're just the bad administrators. I have never been more disgusted in my life with how they treat children and families. So distasteful.

I love that the teachers all know every student by name, and the school provides a huge amount of community resources to all the families. Many staff members went to Baca themselves, or grew up nearby, so it really feels intimate and truly tight- knit. The staff has made it very easy to be involved as a parent in after- school activities. I've been around a lot of children over the years both personally and professionally. I can safely say the students at Baca are remarkably polite and courteous. The culture of kindness really shines.

My last review somehow was removed...? It appears that the principal and the district have trouble with the truth. In my experience, as a student-teacher, I spent over 60 hours working in two different classrooms to fulfill 30 hours that were required for two of my courses. As I stated previously, the principal relies on punishment in order to control his students. Special education teachers are phenomenal. In my experience in a typical classroom, the teacher was miserably relying on humiliation, class removal, and disrespecting her students. There were approximately 30+ children in the class; with only one adult in the room, education is nearly impossible due to the teacher wasting time correcting class behavior. I do believe it was the principal and CSU-Pueblo Department chair who put effort into trying to hide my review. Both the former and latter are unsupportive of LGBTQ children and teachers. Obviously, these are not the comments District 60 wants to hear, but silencing people who tell the truth is what the community should be aware of and expect.

This school has such love for their staff, parents, and students! I love the innovation of the school!

Best Christian school in Pueblo! Highly recommend.

Not only do they charge you double and act like you didnt pay, but they are rude to the children. I paid and showed my receipts and they still didnt take it off my bill. The billing guy is the worst person alive.
