Bessemer Elementary School

I love this school! 3 of my children attended Columbian since 2013! The old principal and new principal are amazing. Great staff! I'd recommend this school to anyone. I will now have a preschooler attending this year.

I went to do field experience at the school. Not only did they try to get me to substitute when I didn’t have a degree or anything yet, but when I said no they tried to get me kicked out of my education program. I am very upset about how the school handled the situation and never plan to even go near the school ever again. I hope that this never happens again to a person trying to become a teacher and hope this school will learn from their mistakes. Those who are going for field experience are NOT free substitutes for the school to utilize! That’s not only a legal issue but a safety issue as well as those who are going for field experience are trying to LEARN how to be proper teachers from greater role models!

So grateful for this school, the family friendly atmosphere, the faith filled Staff and Chaplain. My children have been well equipped by attending this Catholic School

The worst decision I made was enrolling my daughter at this school. Its so overpriced just for her to be discriminated by the teachers and principal. This school runs on nepotism and bullying was tolerated especially when it was the principals niece and nephew doing it to your child. Save your money. Public school was a better environment for my kid.

Not only do they charge you double and act like you didnt pay, but they are rude to the children. I paid and showed my receipts and they still didnt take it off my bill. The billing guy is the worst person alive.
