The teachers, the principal and the vice principal really care and create a culture that is so welcoming and wholesome for the kids. I feel very lucky that my daughter can go here.

When Mr. Bingham was principal of Broadway elementary, it was an amazing school all the way around. From advanced learners to special education classes, he was a hands-on principal who encouraged and fostered growth among his teachers. Unfortunately, after his departure, special education teachers did not receive proper support from upper management and administrative staff. Special education staff seemed to go to the wayside. They were undervalued and unsupported. Having two students in this school, one in advanced coursework, and one with an IEP, I feel uniquely qualified to speak to the utter disappointment a lot of parents felt when the principal of Broadway changed. There were stark differences in the general feeling of Broadway. Instead of excitement and enthusiasm to be a part of something greater than themselves, students feared being undermined, berated, and belittled by their own teachers as well as other students. I wrote all the necessary people to bring attention and shed light on the issues that were happening at Broadway, and I spoke too many other parents who felt the same way I did, unfortunately, the bureaucracy of it all got in the way of anything being done to correct the wrongs. I truly hope that Broadway will eventually be under better leadership, and that all students will feel included, valued, and have an excitement for learning again. Disappointing at best Broadway.

Parents and stakeholders are amazing and involved. All the staff are friendly and caring, with a deep understanding of curriculum and social-emotional learning.

Our daughter attended from 1st grade to 8th grade. Iowa test scores are constantly 2-3 grades above the average. Very pleased with the Christian values and message taught to the students. Smaller class sizes allow for more personalized lesson plans. Parent involvement is encouraged and the teachers are readily accessible. No concerns of woke agendas being taught to children.

All of the kids that go here think they’re so amazing it’s insane! The teachers hold their hands way too much and they don’t get to experience life at all. It is really very quite sad to think that they don’t even realize how false they’re perfect little bubble they live in is. What will happen to them when the real world pops it? If I could put zero stars I would.
