Read what parents are saying about Marco Antonio Firebaugh High SchoolThis school is cool n all pero they don't have a lot of school spirit or motivation. Typically everything is last minute and quite a few rude staff. The people are chill and I like the environment!
Posted by a community member on 1/12/2024This school is uninviting and unacceptable. The majority of the teachers don’t actually teach the students correctly and some even reward disrespectful behavior towards their students. Drugs are used very often in campus and the security seldom cares about the hostile environment the students are in. This is the last school I would put my children in.
Posted by a student on 9/5/2019Great classes but bad teaching. The counselors here don't do much. The school has rigorous course to offer but no one is willing to take them. The students don't strive for success because there is no support from the teachers. Also let's talk about not having a Chinese/ Mandarin teacher for a whole year because the school was not willing to find one. My child wasted a whole year worth learning. The way the school handled the situation was a total nuisance.Overall the school is okay as much as I hate to say this there was rarely any bullying. BUT what has to change is the staff

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBullying is bad at this school the staff does nothing to protect the children or offer support. The school bathroom had racial slurs graffiti in the bathroom. The school base its education on test scores and less on classroom curriculum. I don't suggest this school to anyone if they want their children to blossom or feel safe.Parent Review8mo ago - Hollydale School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHollydale School is no different than any school in the PUSD. I have tutored a student here for 4 years. We started when he was in 4th grade. He could not do 1st/2nd grade work. Today, in 8th grade, his teachers (other than Algebra I) don't care about education, they care about how they can get by. They give students answers the quiz//test just before the test so they do well, but they don't know the material. They don't get homework in Science or History, EVER!! Hardly homework in Language Arts. PUSD has always been this way. I grew up in neighboring city and had friends go through the PUSD. Don't be fooled in their "scoring and grading). My student gets "B's" in both Science and History, yet when I go over some of his classwork that he brings home, he is clueless as to the material. If you care about your childs education, keep them away from PUSD!Other Review10y ago - Howard Tanner School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am very happy with my experience my children have had. PUSD does a good job when it comes to their curriculum and motivating kids to do their best. Ms. Hennessy, Mr. Maldonado, Ms. Harsh (now Ms. Mora), Ms Garrett, and all the staff thank you for all you do.Parent Review5y ago - Domino's Early Learning Academy
