You can’t get someone to care. My child was being abused and bullied by other students and he cried and was begging not to take him to school because of the bully and he’s only in first grade. His teacher didn’t care to do anything. And when I report to the school they didn’t care as well and didn’t offer a solution. I decided to move my house to a different area so I can take my kid out of this school. Later on the year few days before I change his school he had an award ceremony. I attend the award ceremony for my child and every time his teacher walks by my child would be terrified. Until now to this day my child is still traumatized and I have no idea what happened in school, and what has happened to my child that he got so scared of school, when he used to love going to school. No one cares and no one will offer to even help. If you want your child in a safe school and coming home safely without any injuries and without any trauma then go to a different school. This place is terrible

In my personal experience this school isn’t a good environment. My son with special needs isn’t receiving the something he’s supposed to be receiving. Last week he came home with marks on his arm like someone pulled him. I made a complaint to the school after that every time I pick up my son from school, his diaper is completely soaked that he’s leaking and his pants are soaked. On another occasion he came home with his ear piece chewed up. Not at all happy with mango elementary

I went to Hemlock when I was in 1st-5th grade (from the 2019-2020 school year to the 2023-2024 school year) I don't go here anymore but when I went here it was ok-ish. I learned what I needed to, but sometimes teachers can be a bit rude. In my 5th grade year, a girl was crying because our teacher yelled at her because she didn't understand a problem. When she finally answered the question correctly, she went back to her seat crying. Our teacher then went to her and told her, "I know that you're sad about this but I do not care at all." I still had a fun time here but the kids could be a bit mean. Other kids enjoyed their experience here. It varies from person to person.

I would NOT recommend this school to anyone. Administration can't seem to get a handle on anything. It's not consistent, safe or welcoming for students, staff and families. My children have been going to this school since 2020. I have volunteered at the school for the last 3 years. It has had 4 principals in 6 years. Administration doesn't support teachers and staff. They barely communicate with the parents (if there's communication at all). And have no idea how to run an elementary school. It's overcrowded, toxic and completely chaotic. No one communicates with anyone. There are constant confusions and misunderstandings. It's also a very small school and hard to get in and out of. Traffic gets backed up. And, recently, a child got hit by a car. The only positive about the school are the teachers. They truly care about the students. My son went to Sierra Lakes from Kindergarten - 5th grade (2020-2026). Kindergarten year was all online due to Covid. Out of the school's control. First grade: He had a teacher the first two months. She went on maternity leave and didn't come back until a month before the school year ended. He had a new substitute teacher every week. He didn't learn anything that year. Second grade: He had an amazing teacher who lasted the entire school year. But the principal was awful. Didn't care about the children or their safety. And she was condescending to the parents. Third grade: He had the same situation as his first grade. He had a teacher the first month but substitutes the rest of the year. Fourth grade: He had an excellent, consistent teacher. And finally started retaining material. By this time, the school had a new principal who cared about the children and was very friendly. My son's last year, 5th grade, he had another amazing teacher. But had an intermittent principal the first few months of school. And now the current principal, once again, doesn't care about the children. My daughter has attended Sierra Lakes Elementary for the last 3 years. All of her teachers have been amazing! But my husband and I have lost all faith in the school. We had her transferred to Etiwanda School District for her last years of elementary.
