7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school itself is amazingly supportive and has fantastic staff. My oldest daughter is autistic and has ADHD. She began kindergarten around the time the school was new and before she was diagnosed. Even not having answers at this time, the teachers came up with very creative and helpful ways to keep her involved and feeling loved. She never wanted to go to the next grade because she loved her teachers every time. In second grade, she was in an afterschool program called the Boy's & Girl's Club. This was held onsite at the school... My daughter was sexually assaulted by another girl in the girl's bathroom. From that point on it was very difficult for her. The police were involved and everything was resolved in a very discrete manner of course. They didn't want anything of the sort getting out and I understood that. I did not see it as the school's fault but the Boy's and Girl's club. They were the ones using the school as their site and not having or providing enough quality caregivers. Rocky Creek immediately dropped the program as they should have.Regardless, I pulled both my daughters out of RCE and enrolled them in homeschool. My oldest thrives best in a social setting though and we were limited with transportation on where she could attend school. Since we didn't have to worry about the other child any longer or the program... we enrolled them both back into RCE after her counseling program was "complete". She thrived for a bit until bullying became a problem. Teachers and guidance counselors would listen and help as much as possible. She graduated RCE not wanting to leave. My youngest also ran into bullying but so long as you bring it to the teacher's attention most do not stand for it. They've also now brought a new type of systematic, antibullying program there. Before my youngest graduated last year bullying became extremely bad for her and I immediately addressed it with her teachers where they had us come in to discuss it fully. They have a special person that works there dedicated to bullying and resolution. This school does have your child's best interest at heart. I'd say at least 95% of the teachers are 100% committed to teaching, loving, and protecting them. Some bad apples but not all. I do definitely recommend the school but highly recommend vetting after-school programs... Make sure they always know where your children are.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 169 Phoenix Ln.
