" Lack of side walks in the neighborhood. Sometimes makes walking at night a little dicey. That’s all"

"I typically drive a car to my employer downtown, which is about 4-5 miles from my house. Close enough to bike, when the weathers nice. Public transit is spotty in this area. "

"The area is very well populated. Very kid friendly and great neighbors. Most of the big chain stores have good customer service and the stores are mostly kept clean and organized. I would avoid the Walmart if at all possible. "

"Forest Acres is one of the most sought after communities in Columbia. It has great schools, great dining, shopping, it’s own Police Force and City Hall. The neighborhoods have large private lots, and the property values are among the highest of any community in the entire city of Columbia. Forest Acres has a true “neighborhood” feel, and is a great place for families, seniors, and young professionals to live. It’s centrally and conveniently located, but still has a community feel."

"We live in one of the most convenient and sought after communities in all of Columbia. This area- (and specifically the street) has the privacy and seclusion of a neighborhood community, and the convenient accessibility to nearby shopping, dining and entertainment. We are 10 minutes away from three major interstates, as well as a 10 minute drive from downtown Columbia. Public transportation utilizes numerous nearby pickup/ drop points in the area."

"I have lived in this area since Feb 2013 and I am now planning on building a home in the Eagle Park sub division. The surrounding area is nice and close to everything. There are more stores, gas stations etc close to this area than Trulia lists. Everything is convienent even a movie theatre about 1 10th of a mile away. Quiet and family friendly not to mention close to FT. Jackson."

"Large lot sizes, established neighborhood close to great schools. Wonderful shopping and good food close by - Forest Acres is the best region of Columbia."

"An immediate concern when I purchased here was the railroad less than half mile distance, but rail traffic is scarce. The most noise pollution I encountered was in 2007 when birds were chirping alarm regarding a hawk with a squirrel in its talons. Columbia has state government and many military-related industries. It is also equal distance to reach mountains or beaches."

"I love to see the neighbors out walking and riding bikes. It is great to have a conversation with the next door neighbor while we work in our yards and gardens!"

"Convenient to grocery stores, drug stores, restaurants, hair and nail salons, and medical facilities, just to list some of the nearby businesses and services. For the most part, great neighbors with well kept homes and yards. Such accessibility, particularly with the high cost of fuel, is very important and will continue to increase the value of homes in this area."
