7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a substitute teacher and have been to many schools in this district. This school is a free for all. At any given moment there are special needs students running the halls because there is no support for them. There is no security and a child could and has left the building without an adult being aware. The principal "encourages" the staff with negative comments leading to very low morale. I would send my kid to any other school and look into this one if my child was attending.Teacher Review4mo ago - Penn Treaty Middle School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was hesitant to send my child at first... But after actually going to the school and meeting the teachers and staff I was confident my student would do well here. It's a wonderfully diverse environment. There is a focus on college preparation beginning in 9th grade. Penn treaty has many programs to support the students such as 12+, AVID, and city year. There are extra curricular activities and sports. This is a school on the rise. The staff and students are working hard to raise expectations.Parent Review5y ago - Check out schools near 2671 Amber St.

"nothing. I want to move out this block. unsafe condition. too much noises with motorcycle. neighbors are rude "

"Not enough convenience stores. There's only one called Quick Stop and it's terrible. Food, service and safety are horrible at this store. There is only one safe park to go to in this area which is Conrad Square Park and the pizza places are lousy including Pizza Brain which is too high priced. No laundromats close by and there used to be two of them on Frankford ave in this area. I lived here my whole life and this area has gone downhill and the "New" restaurant up the street "The Pickled Heron" is ridiculous with prices that are very un affordable!! These places belong in Center City not in a neighborhood where people work hard for their money and deserve better!!"
- Ben s. e.
- 12y ago
"Great new and trendy neighborhood with excellent transportation to the city!!! Also, lots of Green homes in the area and of course great nightlife on the Frankford Corridor. This area is the new northern Liberties at half the cost."
