Description
This property is not currently for sale or for rent on Trulia. The description and property data below may have been provided by a third party, the homeowner or public records.
Our fully furnished house is located just three short blocks from Alberta street in the colorful Alberta Arts District, which has many wonderful restaurants, quirky boutiques and creative street art installations. This adorable bungalow was constructed in 1904, and has been extensively remodeled in the more than 100 years since. Though we are right in the heart of the bustling Alberta Arts District, our street itself is very quiet. The house features a large great room, kitchen, laundry room, backyard and a beautiful, 600 square foot wrap-around porch. The house is equipped with baseboard heaters in each room, and also features a fully functional pellet stove in the great room. If you're musically inclined, you'll love our upright Wurlitzer piano, also in the great room. The continuous layout of the house from the kitchen into the great room makes it a great one for dinner parties.

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI moved from WA and was looking for Mandarin language immersion for my child. PPS only has 3 elementary schools with the MIP and the other 2 schools were completely full. In comparison, MLK invited us to visit, see the classes, and speak to the teachers. I witnessed a diverse and vibrant community with passionate instructors. What I observed at my visit has held true through the past semester my child has been enrolled. I was worried about my child starting a new language as a 1st grader with no prior experience but Gao laoshi has done an amazing job getting her up to speed. She’s made wonderful friends and enjoys going to school. She has also made steady academic progress, particularly noticeable in reading (which she did not enjoy before). Her class is a 1:14 ratio although that might change next year (they try really hard to keep the lower grades small when students are just acclimating to school and learning fundamentals). There is also an active PTA and good community ties. MLK may not be for everyone. However, it’s been a great fit for our family, which was looking for a diverse and caring community where character is emphasized.Parent Review1y ago - Grant High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have gone through all 3 years of education at Tubman. I would say that it's really not as bad as some say. I think over time the staff has gotten way better and the students have calmed down. Some teachers are better than others but none are "bad." I'm not sure why the reviews are as bad as they are but if you go into Tubman with an open mindset you will be surprised.Parent Review2y ago - Check out schools near 1103 NE Roselawn St.

"I don't think it's particularly unique. It's just another gentrified neighborhood in Portland with increasing rents and property value pushing people out of the neighborhood while there are less spaces available for parking. "

"I've lived here over 10 years. The parking situation continues to worsen with increasingly smaller units replacing what was once a single home plot. "

"Lived here and would never return. loud, noisy, people throw trash on street and sidewalks. Not safe to walk at night...."
