4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOverall, New Dorp is a good school. Most people there are nice. However, the school does not give the necessary information on gradation requirements. Not many people know that 100 hours of community service is needed to graduate. I did not know either until someone told me. All they said was 44 credits are a requirement. The school should tell you that service hours are mandatory. There are students in 11th grade who do not know about the hours. I mean no harm in this review, I just wanted to bring awareness to this. Thank you for taking the time to read my review!Student Review2y ago - Ps 23 Richmondtown

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHands down the best school I’ve ever come across. My kids are thriving and the teachers staff, vice principal and principal are absolutely amazing. So lucky for my kids to be in this school!Parent Review1y ago - Is 24 Myra S Barnes

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageExcellent director and assistant. As long as they are in school, this school will have a good rating. A lot of after school classes and circles. I am happy with this school.Parent Review9mo ago - Check out schools near 2525 Amboy Rd.

"the surrounding areas, schools nearby, bus stops, etc. parents also need to do well enough research on the demographics of the area you are living in."

"I drive ten minutes to work I work on the island for the city. The 57 and x15 are close by the 74 and 54 are quite a walk away. There’s a Russian supermarket and delis but they are quite a far walk as well a car is definitely a necessity. Be careful where you park any street parking in front of peoples houses the homeowners believe to be there’s so they will put nails in your tires key and kick in your car they have done it to mine which is now why with my new car I bought a camera. "I lived in this area for over ten years I have never had a problem the only thing is that if you want to park your car in front of your house you have to get there early other then that it is a wonderful neighborhood ."
