6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTerrible experience with this school. If you child has any type of special needs or struggles in school this is not the school for you! Steer clear! I have tried to work with this school for years and they continue to disappoint. I have a child who has special needs and the school failed to inform me what options we had even though I asked the main office and the counselors office several times! Finally, after my own research, I found what we needed to do but the school really dropped the ball in helping us. My child also has health issues that affect decision making and other areas of everyday life and was suspended over something that was not done in school and also had nothing to do with the school. My child had never even so much as been in trouble in school before. Also, just as another reviewer stated a teacher told one of my children that they would only amount to being a drug dealer when they grow up! When this brought up to the school they said they would speak to this teacher and no other reprimands although this teacher has a history of speaking to the kids in this manner. However, they did want to give detention to my child for being disrespectful and talking in her class, well I do not see how you expect the children to respect a teacher to behaves in a manner. A counselor stated that it was probably the teachers way of trying to inspire the kid the way a coach would when yelling at the team! Are you kidding me?Parent Review6y ago - Petroglyph Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIn my experience teachers will teach one way and one way only. If you don’t understand they will only repeat what you just told them you didn’t understand. There are few teachers that actually care about their students, many of the teachers clearly hate their job and the students and indirectly say so. The school also has very poor planning as many teachers just get moved around mid school year and the students have a hard time because many subs don’t know how to teach the subject are aren’t provided anything to teach the kids. Also sometimes it seems like the teachers and administrators care more about if you have a hole in your jeans than your education and learning. The school doesn’t even do anything about bullying. I have seen many people express many times that someone was bothering them but nothing was done even when the teachers watch them purposely hurt others.Student Review8mo ago - Coronado Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe overall vibe at Coronado is a positive one! The administration and teachers all work together for the good of the students and you can tell they are happy to be there! The lessons are engaging and the students seem to be happy to be learning.Parent Review2y ago - Nex Gen Academy

"I drive, but have had the unfortunate experience of having my vehicle stolen. This is not something the people of New Mexico are shocked about, the police and my coworkers all said welcome to ABQ when I told them. "

"Sometimes dog owners don’t pick up their dogs mess for whatever reason. Seeing dog droppings isn’t common but unfortunately there’s those few bad lemons that just leave their dogs business behind. Unfortunately another issue is the dog barking that happens often with owners ignoring them all day. Again, not often that it happens but it does. "

"Albuquerque is just a bad place to live. I hope to god I can move to a normal state soon. The schools are 49th of not 50th in the nation, the crime rate rivals Detroit. It’s not a good place to raise a family "
