10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe relocated from Naperville Schools, and having a good experience there, the school system was one thing that made me want to stay in Naperville. After being a part of the Pleasantdale community for several years, I have no regrets. Every single person I have dealt with at the school, from the office staff, teachers, and principal to the superintendent and other parents has made a positive impact. This school truly feels like a community. I am often in awe at how both of my kids are thriving both academically and social/emotionally at Pleasantdale. The teachers and principal are engaging and encourage participation from the parents. I am so happy we are part of this community!Parent Review7mo ago - Pleasantdale Middle School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis was a great school. However the principal is the worst that I have ever encountered. The school has gotten worse and worse since Dr.Arundel has taken over. My kids use to look forward everyday to going to school. They learned a lot and truly enjoyed being there. But once Dr.Arundel came, she made unnecessary changes that made the kids feel degraded and unimportant. My daughter's class was a great group of kids: smart, respectful, supportive of each other. They participated in school activities and enjoyed going to school. But when the principal changed, I would hear stories of the kids no longer participating in activities. Almost all the kids in her class quit student council and must of the other clubs. She would tell me stories of her classmates starting to talk back to her or laugh at her and the things she tried to get them to do. Attendance started to be an issue because parents started to allow their kids to not go to school so that kids wouldn't have to deal with her. She tried to bribe the kids to come to school. The kids literally laughed in her face and said no. While people might think that that's because the kids are just being disrespectful, the kids did NOT do that to any of the teachers. They were only protesting the ridiculous rules this person tried to implement. While bullying was not really an issue before, it is definitely an issue now. I see it happening in my son's class. I can't wait to get him out of this school and can only pray that he understands that school administrators are usually there to help and protect students and that this principal is NOT the norm. Hopefully the school district does something about her before she completely ruins the school.Parent Review5mo ago - Lyons Twp High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Average2 of my 3 children have graduated from LT and 1 will start there soon. The ones who have gone to LT have found it to be challenging, supportive, full of caring teachers and staff, and a HUGE number of classes to choose from. They have gone on to be successful in college and ultimately that's what the goal is: to be successful in what comes AFTER high school. Lyons Township HS provided my kids with the tools to be successful after leaving, and one of my kids actually said that he seemed better prepared for college than some of his current classmates at his university.Parent Review4mo ago - Check out schools near 10723 5th Avenue Cut Off #305.

"I lived in Countryside from 1977 - 1995. It's a great city with lots of restaurants and shopping. In recent years it looks like they have been making an effort to beautify the the area from 55th street to Joliet along La Grange rd. Over-all it was an great place to grow up."
