Asst principal does not believe in equal discipline for students and if you stand up for your student she will file false claims about you but ignore students being abused. 5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTo give an update- both field hockey and lacrosse have been incorporated as official school sports. A new high school building was just recently opened in April of 2013. Ceilings, walls, and bathrooms are no longer falling apart; there is also much better climate control throughout the new school. The new resources for students are state of the art as well. The majority of the teachers here truly care and there is also a good selection of AP and honors courses for anyone to take. My one complaint is the little attention upperclassmen get when trying to search for and apply to college. You truly have to advocate for yourself if you feel as if you need help in this department. With about 900 student however, it is difficult for the four guidance counselors to give individualized attention to every student, a problem at at any larger school, private or public. Overall, Waterford High School and all Waterford Public Schools still get five stars, their public education system is one of the best.Student Review10y ago

"It is a great area to walk dogs, long walks, short walks, it’s a nice neighborhood. plus the Connecticut College arboretum is down the street which is also a nice place to walk. "

"Not like route 32 nearby. I’m always afraid my dogs will get loose and hit by a car. The neighborhoods are nice and the Conn college arboretum is down the road, so that’s a nice place to go and walk your dogs"

"Some dog owners in the area let their dogs off leash and have little control over them. For shy, small, or aggressive dogs, it is a problem and caution is needed. But everyone is also very understanding of dogs and dog owners and everyone cleans up after their pets well! Very few cats as well."

"Nothing makes it special it’s just a comfortable neighborhood .. near a fabulous beach or two .. lots of shopping .. near the O’Neill theatre and the casinos .. great schools and parks .. "

"Good schools -also near shopping, highway. Beaches , several parks..2 casinos ..lots of kid activities.. Conn college and various kids programs ..Near The Guard theater ..The O’Neil theater in Waterford ..gorgeous Harkness Park .."

"Everyone walks their dogs often and all pets in the neighborhood are super friendly! Most yards are fenced so every now and again you’ll see a friendly face pop over the fence to say hi. Some barking in the neighborhood but nothing crazy "

"Lots of of water areas such as the river in this neighborhood and easy drive to beaches.. Access to main highways close by but not too close. Several towns close by. "
