3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy boys have been hers since kinder. My oldest is in 6th and younger in 3rd. I have no complaints about my 6th graders achievement hers. He had great teachers. On the other hand my 3rd grader is behing in reading and writing. I blame the teacher and his teaching. I don't believe he had the techniques or patience to teach lower level grades. He used teach older kids until my son started kinder they made him a kinder teacher. Good thing he no longer teaches at this school. My son got a new teacher who has been great and my son is slowly catching up to his grade level.overall I don't really like the school. No field trips. No enrichment programs besides only elect few kids can take strings class. Nothing great that makes my kids want to come to school. I remember when i was in school we had alot of activities. Arts and crafts ect. My boys always come home mad and say they want to go to a different school. They say they can't do anything at recess. They toom away the balls the teather ball And they only have a small sucky playground that has been there since my brother was there in 5th grade back in like 1999. They say all that they see is kids getting yelled at all the time for small things, Especially by Mrs. Hill.Parent Review7y ago - California Middle School

"The only thing that makes me happy about this area is the craftsmanship of the houses in this area. It looks great but the area around here is not as nice "

"Nice area that is well located and easy to get around. Everything is close by, local traffic isn't as bad as other parts of the city, and people in the area are friendly "

"I just moved here to Oak Park and id say thw main issue with living here would be the lack of neighbor interaction. "

"Cars drive recklessly. Some streets use the speed bumps to help reduce that. Keep camera on your house and cars"

"The community is pretty bad , the schools in the area the teachers do not care about the education of the children. If you live here for at least a month you would see a few car crashes and gang related activities. A lot of people are on drugs running around and going into your yard looking for items to steal. Not a place I would raise my kids. "

"there are plenty of sidewalks to walk your dog .as well as many dog friendly parks to enjoy within walking distance. "

"A lot of people have dogs, it’s quiet though around here. occasional bark-offs with dogs and the occasional random lost dog, but that’s about it. Good place for pups! "

"I love that my neighbors & I all watch out for each other. It is not uncommon for a neighbor to BBQ and bring a nice size plate full of food over just to share. People can say what they want about living in "the hood", but I have never lived in a friendlier neighborhood."

"If they're responsible dog owners they will not like the fact that so many people here walk their dogs with no leash! "
