6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBurbank is a sweet little neighborhood elementary school with talented teachers and a dedicated, impactful principal. My child’s educational development continues to improve year over year. This year they are building a new playground that looks awesome! Almost 100% of the teachers are certified and have over 3 years of experience. The pretty average rating the school receives year over year is reflective of the amount of students learning English and the fact that many of them are from low income, sometimes English learning families without all the resources that children in higher achieving schools have access to, and the extra hurdles those children have to overcome in order to succeed will inevitably be visible in standardized testing. It is not a reflection of the education and resources available at the school.Parent Review1y ago - Jefferson Leadership Academies School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has repeatedly left gates open with no adult staff around leaving the possibility for children to wander off or strangers to wander in. Teachers say bad words to the kids. The front desk is terrible at answering the phone and calling back when you leave a message. There is constant fights that the staff don't stop. There are kids constantly hitting other kids and they are allowed to stay in class. I would not go here if the district actually gave a choice. It's a terrible school with terrible staff. Do not go here.Parent Review5mo ago - Wilson High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGraduating class of '23, this school has only gone down since i got here in 2019. Wilson does not have enough discipline when it comes to kids wandering campus during class or when it comes to vaping and drug use especially in bathrooms. Instead of punishing the children involved their solution is to lock up multiple bathrooms at the same time restricting access to the students. These "solutions" are all similar in nature when it comes to various problems. The school strongly favors minority groups and the amount of assignments and clubs and months and weeks surrounding "inclusivity" are outrageous. I do not feel represented in this school. This school is highly politically biased and I'll leave it at that. Many kids at this school have horrible attitudes and i feel that the low work ethics of said students brush off on others. I am not saying that all kids are like this, but a very high amount of them are. If I could pick my high school again I would not pick Wilson.Student Review1y ago - Check out schools near 2435 E 5th St.

"There are a lot of dogs in the area but a few owners are always keeping their dogs off leashes. As a parent with little ones this can be unnerving when overly excited dogs come running towards my kids. Even with much reassurance, I would be much more comfortable with a leash"
