3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI had to pick up my son with a black eye/face. During covid when the kids were not supposed to be even touching each other, another child pushed my son while playing tag and he fell unconscious. When he woke up there was kids around him. I drove down to the school and no one, not even the principal knew what had happen, the duty wasn’t looking at the time. The principal refused to take accountability. The teachers were very nice and fun but my son was learning things that were a grade level below.Parent Review1y ago - Spring Valley Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has some teachers who know how to teach the subject and make it understanding when others don't. This school has a lot of students who fight for idiotic reasons and the school handles it decently. They force the different grades to go out to the field between Monday through Thursday and you don't get a say. The principal found out one of my friends lied about her grade and told her parents that she lied and that he had a boyfriend. I dont know why that was necessary. The nurse is really nice and cares for the students. The councilors are good at doing their job and even giving students fidget toys when they need it for anxiety or some other reason. I would beware of how bad some students are and how some teachers teach because some teachers don't know how to teach without the whole class understanding and some students do drugs and fight for dumb reasonsOther Review1y ago - Mount Miguel High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI attended the school and it was a great school for me. Led to my very successful career as a safety professional. Great athletic department and great coaches.Would definitely send my kids to the school but I moved out of the area as a younger adult.Other Review2y ago - Check out schools near 3443 Trophy Dr.

"When we first moved to La Mesa, I wasn’t sure I liked it. The main streets aren’t all that pedestrian-friendly but parking in Downtown La Mesa can be a pain. Now that I’ve been here two years and know my frequent routes well, I really love it. The playgrounds are great for my toddlers. And for a family Sunday we have great options in Lake Murray, Cowles Mtn, Mt Helix, and Santee Lakes all just a few minutes away. The 4th of July fireworks are awesome. It really is a great place to raise a family. "
