8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy boy is attending this school last 3 years and become a senior this year. We are satisfied with the school system. Compared to other nearby schools, BOHS has a great balance. They are not too creasy in studying and not too easygoing. It's in the middle. Period. My boy wants to be a Vet in the future and the school provides sufficient AP and honor classes. The students are able to enjoy water polo in Olympic-scale swimming pool after school. They can join numerous clubs as well.Parent Review1y ago - Brea Country Hills Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school exhibits a disturbing level of racial discrimination. When my child had an accident during a school recess, no one assisted him or took him to the school nurse. The child, despite an injury, had to go there alone, where only ice packs were provided. Due to the nurse's negligent observation, the child, with an open fracture and bleeding, received only ice treatment until the parents arrived. The school showed no concern for the child's well-being post-accident and failed to inform us about missed lessons or assignments during his absence unless we inquired. This communication issue extends beyond this incident.Upon the child's return, we submitted a doctor's note stating he couldn't participate in PE activities due to the injury. Despite the evidence, the PE teacher demanded another doctor's note, requiring a return to the office to resolve the matter. The school's communication system is inadequate, and there is a lack of effort to address issues. There was another incident that happened recently. My child was falsely accused and the teacher never listend to my child but instead repeatedly asking 'Did you do it?' 9 times and did not believe him. School's inadequate investigation was very disconcerting. This attitude was evident when the child received detention, preventing him from attending the school's last-week party, a fact we learned when the child returned home in tears. Despite seeking assistance from the school district, nothing was resolved. The investigation started over two months after the incident on the last week of school. The main issue was the lack of effective communication, and still the school district did not contact us even after the incident was concluded. Despite our child attending this school for six years since kindergarten, the attitude we encountered was incredibly rude and irresponsible.Despite filing a report with the school district, nothing was resolved. Instead, we received a formal report, essentially documenting the facts we were already aware of. They even denied that their attitude towards resolving the incident was discriminatory, refusing to acknowledge their mistakes. Particularly, the teachers showed favoritism towards certain students, leaving my child traumatized, viewing 'teachers' as people who don't believe in himselves. This incident occurred to my child who is only in fifth grade this year. If you are considering sending your child to this school, I strongly recommend reconsidering.Parent Review4mo ago - Check out schools near 249 Roundtree Ct.

"Brea is small and community oriented. People who are starting their family love to live in Brea. Everything is close and nearby. You can walk to the local grocery stores, mall, bank, restaurants. It’s a real nice and clean city to live in. Not populated with homeless people. Schools are great. Life time friends are made. The kids can still play on the streets. Have great nearby trails that people can walk, ride your bike, run, jog, and exercise on the equipment. Great nearby restaurants. "
