So far, our child has had an outstanding experience at this school; the teachers are fantastic, the administration ensures a safe, positive and supportive learning environment, and even during this unprecedented and challenging times, everyone is doing their best to help the students, keep them motivated, and ensure they are catching up from anything they may have missed in late Spring due to the pandemic. The majority of the great teachers left after last school year. The environment is horrible for children’s emotional well being. Teachers are rude and openly express their not wanting to be there in front of students. Specials teachers do not support IEP plans and do not model appropriate behavior towards the students. The dean of students is a joke and doesn’t handle situations appropriately. The principal is a joke and has no idea what’s happening at the school. Your kids will be hit, bullied, and harassed. The school won’t contact you about any of it. Don’t even try to report bullying because the school won’t get back to you either. The cops have been called to this school for situations numerous times. Prepare to have your children come home from school to ask what certain vulgar words mean because they read them in the bathroom stalls. I do not recommend this school at all! "Wide range of family demographics. Mix of young families, retirees, etc. No park in the square mile (used to be you'd go to the school, but laws have changed and it's kept locked up except for official school use. Yard sizes allow for there to be places for kids to play at home. Also, there are parks within 1-3 miles from this neighborhood, but none within walking distance."
